Great Choices

I have been ordering from Smoking Pipes for nearly two years now and according to my orders from Smoking Pipes I received a badge saying I am a "Tobacco Meister" now after ordering 20 different tobaccos.  I have my favorites, but according to Smoking Pipes I have achieved a kind of milestone.  I am supposed to know enough about tobaccos now to have a very discerning taste for tobacco.  I have ordered from Pipes and Cigars as well, but since they don't award badges, I can safely say that at least ten mote types of tobacco can be added to the 20 I already have recorded with Smoking Pipes.

But I am not as fond of Pipes and Cigars as I am Smoking Pipes.  Pipes and Cigars has made a few ordering errors and I find they are harder to deal with than Smoking Pipes.  I have made Smoking Pipes my number one choice for both pipes and tobacco.  I made an attempt to count the number of blends available from both Pipes and Cigars and Smoking Pipes and have come up to close to a couple of thousand blends available commercially.  I have blended a few of my own having just mixed some Sir Walter Raleigh Original with a little Autumn Evening that I have found to be a pleasant tobacco blend.

I had some Sir Walter Raleigh Original left that I mixed with the rest of my Good Stuff Gold that I received as a Christmas gift this year.  A Burley based tobacco blends very well with a mellow minty Virginia.  So, I am making good use of my remaining Sir Walter Raleigh.  It's hard to know just how much of which to blend with another, but much of it is trial and error with the rest being a good educated guess.

I am enjoying my Savinelli St. Nicholas pipe from 2021, Patty gave me aa a gift last year, with my Autumn Evening blend with Sir Walter Raleigh Original.  I am learning how to smoke that pipe as it is an Oom Paul shaped pipe, which is the only shape like this that I own.  It seems the more I smoke that pipe, the more I enjoy it.  A lot of pipe smokers prefer a straighter pipe because the smoke from the bowl doesn't rise directly into one's nostrils.  But if one learns how to smoke a really bent shape like an Oom Paul, I think it can be a very special pipe as my Christmas Savinelli has become.

Thank you for your time today and as always, Peace to each one of you.

Dave
