Bill Gates and Farmland

It is reported by some conspiracy theorists that Bill Gates owns 80% of all US farmland.  Bill Gates says he owns about 1/4,000ths of all US farmland.  But when asked why on his open forum on Reddit, his response was that his investment firm makes all the decisions on where to invest his billions.  Mark Twain once gave the advice for one who wants to invest in something to buy land, "because they aren't making it any longer."

It has been said by most any investment company to invest in property.  This includes apartment buildings in NYC as much as it includes buying a home.  But since the dawn of civilization, wars have been fought over land.  And here in the US it is a fundamental right of every person to have access to land ownership.  There was a time in our nation's history that only land owners could vote.  Nothing in this world is more important than land ownership.

But this gets me back to Bill Gates and his farmland.  Why farmland and not buildings in major cities?  Your guess is as good as mine.  Maybe he is expected to build cities on his farmland.  Or maybe he wants to control what we eat and how food is grown.  Maybe he is in search of world dominance for food grains and crops.  Who knows what his investment firms are up to, because most of us can only guess.  Sounds like a good discussion for conspiracy theorists.

Today I am smoking my Alpha pipe my wife and family gave me as a Christmas gift back in the 80's sometime.  I am smoking Barbados Plantation, which is the Caribbean island that gave birth to Rum in the 1600's.  It is a Rum infused tobacco that is an aromatic I thought would give off an aroma my wife wiould enjoy.  But we shall see.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
