My Pipe as a Religion

 One of the things I like about doing this particular blog is that unlike my Pipe a Day Blog, I am not limited to writing about pipes or tobacco.  Each day I read the news and see what is happening on each day.  And too, unlike my other blog, I am not writing a day or two ahead.  I mentioned to my wife this morning that a musician for a megachurch lost his job for having an affair.  I told her it was the same church where another famous pastor lost his job for having a homosexual affair.

I said my theology today would not be accepted in any church.  It wouldn't, plus I smoke a pipe for my own religious reasons.  I said no one could accept that.  I don't want to dwell on this topic because I could care less.  I believe that as soon as a religion gets organized it's ruined.  I believe many things now that would not be accepted in most any religion, with maybe an exception or two.  But I am a religion of one person.  Me.  But no one knew this until recently.  Now many know why, whereas no one knew.

Smoking a pipe has been a part of my religion for thirty years, but I have had my share of cigars.  But I featr cigars might cause me to have another heart attack, so I smoke mostly my pipes with a yearly cigar or two.  I couldn't explain this to anyone, so I didn't.  For almost 30 years I kept all this to myself, but now many know.  That article brought up a lot of memories aboit organized religion I would rather forget.  

Today I am smoking my one of three Nording pipes I own.  And the tobacco is my Tropical Export.  I have just been sitting here reflecting on that article I read this morning.  I have no desire to ever belong to any kind of religion.  My pipes just night be my religion, although there is one thing most important to me in my religion, which has made me rather reclusive these past few decades.

But I like the word I've chosen for this blog.  Pipeology pretty much says it all and I can write here about anything.  Then there are days like today, when I might not have much on my mind.  The cigar bar I went into a couple of weeks ago had some Nording pipes for sale.  I knew I could get a better price from Smoking Pipes if I wanted a new Nording.  Every religion needs a supplier.  Smoking Pipes just happens to be mine.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
