The Coolest Place
According to Discoverer magazine one might think there are a lot of cool places in Florida like Orlando, St. Petersburg, Miami, St. Augustine, etc. There are the usual suspects in Florida and one can take their pick. But according to Discoverer, the coolest place in the entire world, I mean everywhere, is Miami Beach. It is an incorporated city, and according to this magazine Muami Beach has everything a tourist would want.
One can argue with Discoverer, and I am sure cities like Rome, London, Paris, and other famous tourist destinations would take exception to the tourist magazine to task and name most any famous city as the coolest place to visit. But according to the magazine, Miami Beach has everything a city can offer for those in search of a destination to visit. And maybe other cities have famous sites one can visit, but according to this magazine Miami Beach has everything a city can offer for those looking to get away.
I won't sit here and argue with Discoverer, because it is just one of many magazines that suggests travel destinations to tourists. It's just that this particular magazine has rated the coolest destination for world class restaurants, shopping, high class hotels, upscale amenities, and of course the beach itself. So, if you want an exotic place to go for all your travel needs, the coolest place might just be not far way to some foreign land.
I found the article that mentioned this interesting, because Miami in itself is a nice tourist destination, and one might argue with their choice, but the coolest place might not be what some tourists want. So, it's just a thought and found the magazine's choice to at least be interesting.
This morning I am smoking my Savinelli Churchwarden pipe. I never really paid much attention to this pipe, but my wife bought me a Cherry wood Shire pipe a while back that got me interested in my only other Churchwarden pipe. This pipe has a smaller bowl as most Churchwarden pipes go, but a long stem produces a cooler smoke and the flavor of the tobacco comes through just a bit more.
I am smoking my Professor tobacco this morning, which from the tin note smells very simular to something I have had before. It is an English tobacco with a bit of leathery aroma to it. The description on the tin says one needs a lot of books and an overstuffed leather chair. And one needs to keep long office hours. While I have had my share of English tobaccos, I can't say this tobacco is outstanding, but it is good enough. I liked the description and thought I would try it. Would I buy it again? I am thinking there are other English blends I like better. And I am more of a fan of Aromatics now. But a good English is a nice change of pace. I might give this about three and a half stars. Which is average for me. It's an average English blend. So those are my thoughts for the day. Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
