Beating Stress

 Stress kills.  Any kind of stress does put an added burden on the heart. There is a kind of stress that develops throughout the day and chronic stress from a life event that needs attention.  Chronic stress is the most difficult stress for one to deal with.  Sometimes chronic stress requires life changes.  However, the ways to deal with stress applies to both.  But there is no question that stress kills.  

There are ways to reduce stress.  Probably first and foremost is exercise.  Any exercise at all reduces stress dramatically.  Another stress reducer is socialization.  More often than not women are excellent socializers and often when a couple has been married for a long time and the wife dies, husbands can have so much stress from loneliness and they will pass away rather quickly.  Loneliness is a great cause of stress.

One might find that just taking time for meditation, reflection, and time alone to ponder is good for stress relief.  As long as doing so is not taking time to regret.  Your alone time is time for yourself.  Which means that one accepts one's life as it is and one's love for oneself forgives and forgets.  Such meditative time is filled with positive thoights that drive out anything negative.

Another way to deal with stress is to just have fun.  Playing golf is a great stress reliever.  Fishing reduces stress.  But any hobby reduces stress.  Now, I have found my pipes to be my hobby for stress reduction. I am smoking my Nording pipe this morning with my Autumn Evening and am doing what I can do to simply relax.  I don't worry at all about health risks from Smoking my pipe, but I can't say that pipe smoking does not have its risks.  But for me, I say that my pipe smoking might be more beneficial than not.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
