Good Stuff and Cherry Mix
I thought I had more Good Stuff than I actually had on hand. I mixed about half Good Stuff with half Cherry Cavendish. I was pretty much spot on in my expectations. Good Stuff by itself was quite good. But mixing the two gives a slight Cherry taste without it being overpowering. Good Stuff has a slight minty taste, but the blend is even better than expected. Mixing Good Stuff with Black Cavendish made for an exceptional blend, but blending it with Cherry Cavendish is far better than I expected.
I thought I had more Good Stuff than I did, and mixing it half and half used up the remainder of my Good Stuff. I have enough Cherry Cavendish left to smoke alone or blend it with something else. There is no tongue bite with the mix and the flavoring is delicate. I am well pleased with my mix. I now have quite a bit of a new blend with some Cheery Cavendish left. So, I was able to add a batch of something new that I didn't have before.
I smoked enough of the Good Stuff by itself to know I like that and blending it with two other Cavendish tobaccos allowed me to stretch it even further. I have yet to open my tin of Apricots and Cream, but I will do that over the weekend. I have smoked enough of my Briar Fox to know it has a rather pleasant room note, but the fact is I have nothing more to say about Briar Fox I didn't say yesterday.
As for the Peterson Sherlock Holmes pipe I smoked yesterday, it performed excellently, as expected. I have now set it aside to allow it to rest, but I will be smoking that pipe more frequently. But this morning I am smoking my Nording with my Good Stuff Cherry mix. I must say that as an Aromatic this is a very good mix. I am not in the least bit disappointed in my trial. I am thinking the Cherry Cavendish would blend very well with a good Virginia based tobacco.
I realize there is a lot here for just one tobacco I wanted to review, and maybe I will get into the specifics as smoke more of my blends. But this review is mostly about the Cherry Good Stuff blend. Low Country makes this Cherry Cavendish and is one of the best Cherry tobaccos I have tried and as a blending Cavendish, one can't go wrong. I have found when blending tobaccos, it is best to begin with a small batch of about half and half and then continue to adjust to taste. Then one can adjust the ratio and add more or less of one or the other in veey small batches. But in my thinking I have a very good blend with half Good Stuff and half Cherry Cavendish. I did okay, and it helps to have good tobaccos for blending. Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
