Like Watching Paint Dry
I have been watching a lot of YouTube videos, but I am amazed at what the algorithm throws up at me. One video says God is trying to talk to me and if I don't listen [to this video] I will miss out on $10,000,000! Or another says good luck will leave me if I don't listen to their video. It's all about click bait and if there is one thing I hate is click bait. And for the most part watching these videos is as much of a waste of time as watching paint dry.
Now, having said this about click bait, it seems I am just seeing more of it, whether channeling Angels or God wanting to do something for me, or learning about psychology in regard to relationships, it just seems like there is some lure to hook one in to click on a video. I began by watching videos on Taoism, which might define my religious beliefs, but then I moved to relaxation videos. Then I was on YouTube enough using an old moniker for myself that gave YouTube some inkling I might be a religious person.
I really enjoy watching relaxation videos, because I do find in light of my beliefs that this world can be a very stressful place. And I need the relaxation videos to relax and unwind. But it seems lately YouTube is giving me fewer of those and now I have to put up with the click bait which I never click on. If God wants me to have $10,000,000, I don't need to click on a video to find this out.
Well, those are a few thoughts about what I have seen on YouTube lately. I must say I am rather disappointed that YouTube even allows such click bait on their platform. But I'm not disappointed in my pipe this morning as it is my Nording Number 3 pipe. And I'm beginning the day with a bowl of Cherry Cavendish from Low Country to go with it this morning. Smoking my pipe allows me to kick back and relax. I try to watch less news these days and just concentrate on my Spiritual journey in this life. My pipe helps me do this. It's 69 this morning and very sunny, but clouds are slowly moving in. I thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
Dave
