Tobacco Reviews

I have three different tobacco blends arriving this afternoon that I have never tried.  I don't enjoy reviewing tobacco very much, because it seems my palate is not aa sensitive to tobacco tastes as it once was.   But I ordered eight ounces of Low Country Cherry Cavendish to mix with some of my Good Stuff.  I have learned that Good Stuff is an excellent blending tobacco with the right Cabendish.  Cavendish tobaccos are heat treated and have a rich stand alone taste that makes for perfect blending tobaccos.  I read that Good Stuff is an excellent blending tobacco with just about any Cavendish.  So, some Good Stuff with Cherry should blend well together.

I have not had any tobacco from Low Country, so we will see what I think of their Cherry Cavendish.  But in addition to the order placed to arrive today are two blends I have not tried from Cornell and Diehl.  One is Briar Fox, which is one of Smoking Pipes top 50 selling blends and the other is Apricots and Cream also by Cornell and Deihl.  Cornell and Deihl is the same tobacco house that makes Autumn Evening.  I wanted to try an aromatic I have never had before.  I wasn't sure about Apricot as I am not a real fan of Apricots.  But it sounded interesting.  I only bought a two ounce tin of it, so if I like it, I will order more.

Briar Fox is a Virginia cake tobacco.  The tobacco is pressed in a square that one breaks off and rolls in one's hand and fills a pipe as needed.  I read reviews of this tobacco and it gets a four star rating with a good number of reviews.  Which now gets me to the title of this post.  I pay quite a bit of attention to tobacco reviews and I like that Smoking Pipes ranks their top sellers.  The Apricots and Cream does not come with as high praise as Briar Fox, but I am looking forward to at least writing about both here.

As for the Low Country Cherry, I will set some aside to smoke by itself and will blend just an ounce of each of Cherry and Good Stuff.  Then we will see what that is like.  I'll write reviews here of all these blends.  Someone suggested that I should write tobacco reviews here.  I have said that I don't like writing tobacco reviews, but I think you will see more here beginning with my Good Stuff Cherry.  I could have ordered something other than a Cherry Cavendish, but first, it was on sale and second, it just seems like a good Cherry blend would go well with some Good Stuff.

I'll review these and others here, and if my wife takes in an aroma, I'll add what she thinks.  I was smoking some Professor pipe tobacco and she didn't like the room note of it.  I'm not real fond of Professor pipe tobacco.  As an English blend it is rather mild and bland. But I have some left in a tin and will smoke it until it is gone.  But I won't be ordering any more Professor blend.

I picked up another badge from Smoking pipes for being a Stockpiler of tobacco.  Some pipe smokers order just what they need weekly and I seem to always have extra blends on hand.  I have ordered 50 ounces of tobacco from the same blenders.  Right now it is in the mid 70's and will climb another ten degrees before sunset and I am on the patio smoking my Rum Evening blend in my Savinelli Arcobaleno Blue pipe.  This pipe has darkened a bit as I have smoked it, but one can see it is still blue.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
