An Update
This one might be as much for my wife as it for those of you in general. My wife isn't crazy about my Old Professor pipe tobacco. Most, if not all, English tobaccos smell like the furniture caught on fire, as one reviewer says. So, I have since revised my next tobacco order to include nothing but Aromatic tobaccos that have a pleasant room note. A couple are Cherry flavored tobacco blends, and I have carefully gone over my list to make sure each tobacco blend has a pleasant room note.
One question I have is about a Whiskey Cavendish I have included I may take off my order and substitute Autumn Evening instead. The condo to which we are moving is a non-smoking community, but the owner has made allowances for my pipe. But in deference to those around us, I've decided any tobacco I smoke has to pass my wife's smell test, which Old Professor does not. I checked a list of best Aromatics and most if not all the tobaccos in my next order are on that list with exception of a couple.
I'll probably revise my list, because I have eight different tobacco blends chosen, but if a reviewer states a particular tobacco passes the smell test of wife or girlfriend then that tobacco will go in the order, if there is room for it. Three more pouches of Tropical Export are on that order as of right now. I'm out of Autumn Evening, but I'll order more come fall, although there are no seasons in SW Florida. But I'll work on the order between now and when I finalize the order.
We signed the lease and will get the keys next weekend. I can leave the Old Professor pipe tobacco here at my son's house. I just want to be sure my pipe tobacco has a pleasant aroma. CAO has a tobacco called Eileen's Dream that is supposed to be a best Aromatic. I included one tin in my order as it stands right now. My order has about a pound of tobacco that should last a couple of months depending on how it goes.
Most residential communities are non-smoking communities, but that all depends. There is a unit for sale in the building where our rental condo is located. We might look into it. I can give up my pipes, if necessary, but I do think allowances need to be made for pipes. But the owner has said I can smoke on the lanai, or even in the condo with the doors open. If there are issues maybe arrangements can be made.
Today I am on the patio smoking my with Old Ptofessor and Tropical Export. There are no issues with my pipes, except, of course what my wife considers offensive. Then it just depends. Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
Dave
