It's Not Every Day

I'm sitting here in the early morning on the patio by the pool, womdering why flat-earthers are even a thing.  But that topic is for another time.  I haven't smoked a pipe every day.  Yesterday, we took my pipe cabinet and my pipes to our rental condo and today, I have nothing to smoke.  But later on, we are going to take the rest of our stuff over.  Taking a break from my pipes isn't all bad, however.  It will take me awhile to get my pipes organized in my cabinet.  I am leaving my large cigar box behind until I figure out what to do with it.

We bought a new Angel statue not too long ago and I will make room for that on top the cabinet.  We are thinking about moving the cabinet out into the lanai and I will keep all my pipes and tobacco out there.

Being up on the second floor, we won't be seeing wildlife as we did watching the bunnies outside the pool's lanai.  Every morning I could hear the Burrowing Owls as their voices were so distinctive.  I am not sure what to expect at our new place, but I am looking forward to watching manatees and dolphins.  We will see whether there will be alligators in the waters, as there are gators in the canals all through Cape Coral.

I'm hoping there will be song birds as there were at my son's house.  Every morning the song birds sang their music.  I could give you a rundown on all the wild life in Cape Coral, but the fact is I have yet to see a gator in our canal, but we've been told not to wade or swim in any of Cape Coral canals.  This canal at the condo is a much bigger canal than the one near my son's house.  I'm not sure it's closer to the ocean, but it is much wider.

Well, I'm not smoking a pipe this morning, as I said.  I probably should have kept one pipe available.  But I do have a couple of cigars in my big cigar box I could light up.  We are still here at my son's house as I write this beautiful sunny Florida morning, and will be leaving here a little later.  So, I thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.

Dave
