Brocarde and Eduardo

Everyone loves a great love story. Brocarde is a British singer and musician, who at the age of 40 married Eduardo, except Eduardo isn't ordinary.  He's a ghost.   I am not making this up.  She wore a black wedding dress at the abandoned Asylum Chapel and actually was married in a ceremony with what can only be described as "haunting" music.  But if that isn't enough, after seven months she got a divorce from Eduardo because he was captivated by and had an affair with the ghost of Marilyn Monroe.  She said she had had enough.  He wouldn't give her up, Brocarde said.  

This is so strange on so many levels, I am not sure where to even begin.  Not much was said about Eduardo, but she evidently had plenty to say about the affair.  Nothing was said in what I read about this chapel other than it was abandoned.  And I am not sure I want to know where this chapel was or even who officiated the wedding and what guests were in attendance.  He was a Victorian ghost.  They married on Halloween and honeymooned at the Barry Islands.

If you want to know how such a marriage ends, well, it takes an exorcist.   Okay, so this is what the article I read said.  She says she didn't even believe in ghosts until she met Eduardo.  They immediately fell in love hence the marriage.  I can certainly understand emotional attachments.   Particularly about people and maybe even ghosts.  

My wife and I enjoy watching the series "Ghosts" on CBS, because it is both cute and funny.  We watched the first couple of episodes and weren't sure it would last.  But now we enjoy watching it on Paramount+ and watch the shows we missed on regular TV waiting for its third season to begin.  I'm not doubting ghosts are real, and maybe I shouldn't laugh at this story.  But it's so usual that after reading about this I felt I had to write about it.  But as funny and odd as it sounds, who knows?

I grew up in the 60's and really, this wouldn't be much of a story back then.  Most everyone would just say it's nothing new, drugs make people strange and do strange things.  Back then drugs were blamed for anything out of the ordinary.  And maybe in today's world it might not be anything new.  But if you search their names you can read the full account.  I filled it in here with the space I have and I'm not sure I left much out.  It just might be more cute than horrifying.  

Well, I have not found our condo to be haunted.  And while I've had my own encounters with the Supernatural, maybe this story is all true.  But I'm not worried about ghosts as I smoke my Gettysburg pipe with  a bowl of Early Morning Pipe.  I began this post last evening, and am now finishing it up this morning, after a good night's sleep.  Some might suggest I've had something other than tobacco in my pipes, but I assure you I have not.  I'm just sitting here looking at the canal, not worried about ghosts or anything else for that matter.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
