A Dream?

 I am working on a review of Eileen's Dream.  Is it a nightmare as some have suggested?  I smoked three bowls in two different pipes and I can tell you that it does ghost pipes.  Eileen's Dream gets a 4.06 rating out of five on Smoking Pipes with over a hundred reviews.  This tobacco is more polarizing than today's politics, but more love it than hate it.  You don't care what others say, but you might be curious to ask what I think of it.  

I wrote a complete review of it, but decided to delete that review and write this one instead.  Eileen's Dream is like a first date as I said in yesterday's post.  One comes away asking if more dates are in the future.  I'm not sure.  This is how I feel about it.  Will I want to ghost more pipes or have I had enough?  After three bowls in two different pipes, will I want to keep trying?  I've decided maybe I've had enough for now.  I put it away in a maaon jar for now.  

She's like that really hot girl, who is very shallow and while hot isn't that exciting.  I was enticed by the tin aroma.  I couldn't help but notice how different she was.  But her perfume was incredibly overpowering.  I knew she'd ghost pipes.  Her fragrance still lingers after one bowl and after several bowls of Captain Black Original.  She needs a shrink to figure her out.  I'm trying to decide whether I want to analyze her dreams.  Maybe after one date, I am not sure I want another.  

I was favorable at first, but like that hot girl, I might need to give her some time to herself.  Maybe to some her dreams are dreamy, while to at least a few they're nightmares.  I tend to gravitate to the latter now.  I found her dreams interesting, but now I wonder.  Those were some strange dreams.  Her perfume didn't help.  It lingers even still.  The Captain hasn't been much help after just one bowl in one pipe.  I'm on my fourth bowl with the Captain and he wonders what that fragrance is.  I'll spend more time with the Captain to rid myself of her overpowering fragrance.  

I just wonder if I seal the tin and put it away for awhile if the tobacco is a little less fragrant.  Some say it has to kept fresh and stored in an airtight jar.  I'm thinking it is just too overwhelming.  She wears too much of it.  Some are drawn to her.  In fact, it seems most do, from the reviews, but for me it's too much.  She needs to wear less of it.  I'm not worried it will wear off.  Some of it needs to go.  It's not subtle.  I like Captain Black Original because it has good taste without being obnoxious.  Eileen is obnoxious.  She is smooth without bite, but her fragrance is just too much.  She's drunk with Irish Cream.

I'd much rather converse with the Captain than have another date with Eileen.  Some might say to give her time.  I will, but my expectations won't change.  I'm sure she's right for someone, but I just don't want another date right now.  I've had enough.  I'm on the lanai this morning with two of my buds, Peterson Sherlock Holmes pipe and Consummate Gentleman.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.

 I seem to struggle week after week as to how much football I am going to watch.  There for awhile I was watching all the analysis of the collegiate games and decided I was simply paying too much attention to football.  I cut way back last week and as the season begins to unfold I have to ask myself how much is too much?  I didn't watch one pro game last weekend and hadn't followed the analysis of collegiate games all week.   Then I found myself having a kind of withdrawal and decided I can watch whatever football I want to watch as long as it doesn't interfere with my Spirituality.  But at what point is too much too much?  My wife and I talked about this last week as I cut back on watching and we both decided that I like football and I shouldn't have to be thinking about how much or how little I watch.  I enjoy the games.  College more than the pro's.   I don't have to watch the analysis, but I like College Game Day and I like...

Strange

 I can never predict how any of my posts are going to be received but I do get a reaction from my wife quite often, but I'll post about my Spirituality thinking I've said enough and apart from a few other subjects my Spirituality posts do quite well.  I had yesterday's tobacco review done a few days ago and saved it for yesterday and again, it seems my tobacco reviews do quite well.  Then I wrote about my age and it seemed no one cared that much   My wife says that it's my titles for my subjects So, while I have so many subjects to choose from, today it is about how my tobacco choices influence my Spirituality or do they?  Not really.  It's just that I can't smoke my pipes without tobacco.  I could be smoking a lot of things.  Like the question asked when someone thinks you are crazy, " What have I been smoking?"  Well, at least you know.  It's never any "funny" stuff.  You could be asking what I've been drinking.  I have ...

Old Ads

 My wife liked my post about old things we remember.  And a lot of what I remembered was good.  But there was some bad things back then that are different today.  Back in the 50's and 60's and even into the 70's advertising in both magazines and TV were incredibly sexist.  I don't have the space in one post to list all the ads, but really they can be summed by saying that a lot of advertising was incredibly sexist. I 've mentioned my wife lit my pipe for me just a few times, but these days she can barely tolerate the aroma of my most flavorful Aromatic tobacco.  She liked everything I said in that post except my mentioning Old Professor pipe tobacco.  Ironically, I like Old Professor the most and she hates it the most.  So, when I mentioned it, she did too.  But back in the day a man smoking a pipe was his lifestyle.  Today, it's a hobby, and not just for men.
