Unbearable Heat

Heat causes more deaths than any other natural disasters.  The heat in SW Florida has been almost unbearable.  It's not just heatstroke that causes deaths.  The pavement can get so hot that it actually causes burns.  If one falls, it's just not a fall that is dangerous.  Paramedics are now trained to minister to severe burns and other problems caused by the hear.  One woman says she has a pait of mittens in her glove box so she can actually touch the steering wheel of her car.

The heat in Florida has not been that bad, but Cape Coral recordered the hottest Juky in history.  August hasn't been much better with relief from the heat not expected until October.  The rains haven't helped because the humidity plus the heat have made things even worse.

It is true about drinking a lot water.  I gave a urine sample to be tested and my doctor asked me if I drank a lot of water.  I told him my cardiologist said I need to drink a half gallon of water a day.  But in the tropical heat, I probably was drinking close to a gallon a day.  When we go to the store to buy water, we often buy several gallons per visit, which is a couple of times per week.  We don't drink tap water as it comes out of the faucett luke warm for cold water.

I imagine here in NY this week, I won't be drinking much water and the highs for the week are expected to be in the low 80's with temps at night being in the upper 50's.  But the northeast has been getting a lot of rain and that trend is expected to continue.  That is good for the well here and at least the tap water is relatively cold.

Although I brought some Autumn Evening with me on our trip, I expect I'll be smoking my Prince Albert most of the time we are here.  I'll take back to Florida what I have left of Prince Albert.  I smoked the last of my Tropical Export before leaving Florida, but I left behind some tins of various tobacco I'll take back with me to Florida when we leave.

In addition to my Gettysburg pipe I brought with me two Nording pioes, my Number 2 and my number 3.  I'll smoke some Autumn Evening while I'm here, but I am becoming familiar with my Prince Albert, which I am evaluating again and might write another review about it.  But today it is my Number 2 pipe with some Prince Albert that I have found has aged quite nicely.  The room note of Prince Albert is heavy in Burley and has a slight nutty taste with a hint of flavoring.  The flavoring is of Black Cherry and  this tobacco is considered an Aromatic.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
