AI Relationships
A researcher doing a study of AI relationships with men opened an AI site and immediately had 1,000 men with 15,000 on a wait list. One man told her he was in an AI relationship and this prompted her to do her own research into AI relationships. She warned that such relationships would lower birth rates and make men more lonely except for the fantasy of the relationship itself. The researcher didn't reveal how much money she made from these relationships, but it had to be substantial, and funded her research.
Such relationships are strictly emotional. But for her research she found such men weren't going to risk heartache from a real relationship. I can only conclude such relationships are multi-generational, but more than likely are younger men not taking risks with real women. This is the danger of AI. An AI partner can say anything the man wants to hear. Such relationships are both time consuming and non-productive, but they fulfill the fantasies of any man whether emotional or sexual totally risk-free.
My question is whether AI relationships involve women, but it seems women want the human interaction, where men want to feel safe. I guess most anyone would wonder why men feel this way and not so much women. It might be because women want the real thing and evidently many men don't. But that is a generalization on my part. The article I read was just aboit men and AI. This researcher didn't include women, probably because women aren,'t fulfilled by AI, whereas men are.
Her study didn't separate married men from single men, but I can only assume it's both, and the numbers might be about the same. I tried to do more reading about such studies, but this is the only article I saw on the topic, mostly because it is a fairly new phenomena. We think of men as risk-takers while women want to play it safe. And for men nothing is safer than AI.
This study has a lot of holes to be sure, and I wanted to know more, but my question would be, "Why just men?" It might be that because the researcher was a woman, her study focused on men. She could set up her own AI just for men only. I am sure there is AI for most anyone in search of an intimate emotional bonding. But this study does open a plethora of questions about men and AI. I am sure that as time goes by there will be more studies asking more questions aboit AI, but this study seemed to focus solely on straight men, married and single of all ages.
Safe relationships are easy for men. Nothing is safer than AI. And that is it in a nutshell. There is no risk-taking with AI. None at all. Except maybe one thing is at stake and that is an investment of time. AI is forever. There is no breakup and no questions. It's always there. It's totally risk-free with no entanglements. And an AI relationship is egocentric. The man makes AI into what he wants it to be. He creates the perfect lover.
Everyone wants THE perfect lover. But AI removes any and all risks. He communicates with AI on his time. Nothing is asked of him in return. AI COULD make relationships with humans obsolete. Particularly if AI is a female robot. I see men more attracted to AI than women. That might be why the study just included men. AI just might make women obsolete.
No. We need human relationships. I am reminded of a quote from C. S. Lewis that is too long to post here, but he says that if you want to keep your heart intact give your heart to no one; not even an animal. That says it all. AI is nothing. Nothing but time. I am not distracted by smoking my pipes. I wrote the above while smoking my Author pipe this morning with some Rum and Maple. This post was not generated by AI. Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
