My Next Order

First of all, I write a lot for family.  But secondly, my writing is inclusive and not just for a few.  I am woking on my wish list for tobacco which changes almost daily as I add a few here and there and then drop others.  I try to keep tobacco expenses to about $50 plus allowing for about $10 shipping per order.  But it's still much cheaper than paying pipe shop prices.  I've found Smoking Pipes to be the best on-line retailer for both pipes and tobacco.  They make shopping easy and will store a wish list of tobaccos and pipes that one might want for each customer.  This list changes almost daily as I add some and delete others.

There is a tobacco for one's every mood and most of they time they always have favorites in stock.  Smoking Pipes have good written descriptions and reviews are honest written by pipe smokers as myself.  Their ratings are pretty spot on.  They let you know if a tobacco is in their list of top sellers and give one a general idea of where the various blends ate ranked in terms of sales.

I found one tobacco that interests me that is in the top 100 best sellers of Smoking Pipes.  It is an Aromatic named after the great old-time actor named Edward G. Robinson.  It gets 3.95 out of five stars with not a lot of reviews, but one reviewer says it is a mellow all day smoke.  It has a pleasant fruit/plum aroma my wife might like.  There is another sold in bulk I'm somewhat interested in that is simply called an English Aromatic.

Estate Blend by Sutliff is a lot like Carter Hall, which is a Virginia/ Burley blend. It is described as having a Vanilla-Bourbon taste with a hint of Molasses.  This is supposed to be a lot like Carter Hall, which is what is often called an "old codger" blend.    I could be called an old codger who enjoys the taste of Burley in tobacco blends.  A lot of younger pipe smokers don't care for Burley, but I do.  A lot of "old codger" blends often have Burley tobaccos, which give blends a kind of earthy taste.

Some say Virginia's are too sweet and often have a strong nicotine hit.  I like a mild nicotine content in tobacco blends, because I simply don't care for Virginia's, except I like the sweeter taste that Virginia tobaccos have to offer.

These are the major blends on my list for my next order.  Edward G. Robinson comes in either a two ounce tin or a twelve ounce tin.  I'm not ready for twelve ounces as I'm not sure about it and this tobacco is a little pricey.  But out of these, the Estate Blend seems to be the one that interests me the most as I have yet to try Carter Hall, but the price of Estate Blend in bulk seems to have a more attractive price.  And Carter Hall either comes in a pouch or a 14 ounce tin.

Aa to how much I will buy of the Estate Blend just depends, but the amounts are either eight ounces or a full pound.  I am inclined to order the eight ounces and add a small tin of Edward G. Robinson and order a small sample, like two ounces, of the English Aromatic.  This rounds out my next order, none of which I have tried before.  Out of these, I am inclined to believe I might enjoy Estate Blend the best.

After I receive my next order I might not review all these, but at least give an impression of each one.  I am curious about all three of these, but I know my wife won't enjoy the room note of the English Aromatic.  However, I have been wrong before.  I might order four ounces of the English Aromatic, but not more than this.

Right now that pretty much rounds out my next tobacco order.  I have a bit of Rum and Maple, but I still have plenty of Super Value Ultra left.  Today I am smoking my Nording "Angel" pipe and I've had my one bowl of Epihany with my morning coffee.  I have a tin of Corn Cob Pipe with a Button Nose I'm saving for after Thanksgiving.  Smoking Pipes is sold out of that, so I'm happy I bought that when I did.  That tin will have aged a couole of months when I open it, so it should be pretty good next month.  I'm smoking some Super Value Ultra now.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
