On a Happy Note

I decided to do a little research about happy cities in Florida.  And I decided to do my own comparison shopping, because...  Well, because.  First of all no list is definitive, but this is about comparing Florida cities to each other.  Wallethub says Florida is the eighth happiest state in the US.  I've decided not to bother much with lists, because a list is just a list and yesterday I quoted one list.  I'll go with Florida as being at least one of the happier states to live in.

Here in Florida there are a lot of places to live and instead of relying on some article I decided to do my own research.  First of all, Florida is a pretty happy state in which to reside.  We'll start there.  Then we'll examine those cities I wrote about yesterday.  And after doing my own research, I decided Men magazine has a bias against Florida.

First of all, according to Wallethub Cape Coral is the fourth happiest city in Florida.  The happiest is Coral City.  Tallahassee, Tampa, and Jacksonville round out the top five.  In my post yesterday, I put both Jacksonville and Tampa at the bottom of the happiness scale.  Is Wallethub more reliable than Men magazine?  On most any happiness list Cape Coral is towards the top in the country.  But is it Plano, Texas?  Nothing is Plano, Texas.     One list says Fremont, California is THE place to live for happiness.

I'm reminded of a quote from Colonel Potter in M*A*S*H.  He so brilliantly says, "If you ain't where you are, you are nowhere."  Happiness is always being where you are.  I just have this sense that wherever I am is where I am supposed to be.  Happiness is always where I am.  According to most any list Cape Coral is a pretty happy place.  It won't be number one on most any list, but I can see why.  First of all, no one is from here.  Some people don't live here long enough to cause problems for others.

The fact is, and in conclusion, both Tampa and Jacksonville are pretty happy places according to Wallethub.  And it's a real good feeling to see Cape Coral as number four on the list.  I was quoting from Men magazine yesterday and today it is Wallethub as my authority.  As for Florida being a happy state, it rates high on anyone's list of happiest states.  It is almost always in the top ten of most any list.

This is my happy list today, because Florida is a pretty happy state.  Cape Coral might not be Fremont, CA, but no city can boast of the canals Cape Coral has--not even Venice, Italy.   It's the water here.  So, this is my happy post for today.  I'm happiest when I can sit on the lanai overlooking the canal and smoke my pipe.  Today it is myNording Number 3 pipe with some Rum and Maple.  Over all I would have to say that I'm happy about being here.  I feel I am where I belong.  I thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
