A Lot of Pipes

I have a lot of pipes.  Most aren't very expensive.  My all-time favorite pipe is my Angel pipe, I smoked the other day.  Then I have my favorite pipes.  Some are special.  My most special pipe is my very first one.  Then I have my favorite smoking pipes.  My most favorite for smoking enjoyment is my Peterson Sherlock Holmes pipe.  At first I wasn't sure about it.  But after living with it for some time now, it has become my favorite for smoking.

Some might say that now I have too many pipes.  I kinda do, but a few have been retired because they are close to burning through.  I have several Meerschaum pipes, but my favorite Meerschaum is my Lee Van Cleef, which is one of my favorite pipes for smoking.  Yes, I have a lot of pipes, but there are some better than others.  Pipes I have received as gifts are always special, even if they're not the best ones.

I don't need to list my favorite tobaccos, because I've written about them so much.  Even though my wife doesn't like it, Old Professor is still a favorite English.  A reviewer said it best when he wrote that it smells like an old Mahogany paneled office with an old fine leather over stuffed chair.  If I had a single want it would be an office like that.  It would be the perfect indoor place to smoke a fine Dunhill pipe.

I have smoked my pipes a lot of places.  One of my favorite places was a pipe shop I once frequented.  But I think my most favorite place I've found is by the pool at my son's house here in Cape Coral.  I still like our house in NY and enjoyed the peace and quiet on the deck there, but the season was just too short.  Sometimes it was too peaceful and quiet.

I gave up my pipes for cigars for a little while, but there is something special about pipes.  I could never justify the cost of cigars.  And cigars are just so much more unhealthy to smoke.  I find I relax best with a pipe.  There is just something about a pipe, especially this time of year.    A pipe and the Christmas season just go hand-in-hand.  I just can't visualize Santa smoking a cigar.  Back in the day, there were cigarette adds depicting Santa smoking an advertised brand of cigarette.  Today I can't see it.

Someone rewrote The Night Before Christmas and removed Santa's pipe.  That seems like sacrilege to me.  I don't think that version was very well accepted.  Santa smokes a pipe.  That is all there is to it.  And he hasn't died.  Well, those are my thoughts for this morning.  I'm smoking my Nording Number 3 pipe with My new Christmas Spice tobacco this morning I received Tursday afternoon with my new Peterson Churchwarden pipe.  I'm just going to relax with my Nording  pipe this morning and then let the Spirit work today.  I've found that letting the Spirit work removes a lot of stress and worry.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
