Positive Energy

 I get a lot of YouTube vids promoting positive energy.  I wondered whether I could do a whole post on positive energy, but then thinking I can't isn't positive.  Preachers make fortunes from promoting positive thinking, first credited to Norman Vincent Peale.  Frankly I've never given much credit to those preachers, because it seems these days it's more materialisttic and less theologically oriented.

Too much positive thinking is more wealth oriented and less about well-being.  Positive energy isn't focused on the personal, but the material.  It's just that negative thinking leads to the darker side of life, and wealth doesn't always bring happiness.  Positive energy is what makes us look on the bright side of life and not the dark side of life.  

I've tried lately to find what I think are interesting and sometimes humorous news stories, but lately there hasn't been much I can find.  Maybe I'm not searching the right places, but it seems that more and more lately the lighter news seems harder to find.  I'm sure if I keep looking there will be something I can find, but today I am more focused on positive energy and what this really is.

The music on these vids is positive.  The artwork is often Spiritual with a positive feel to it.  And after listening for a few minutes and watching, there is a very positive vibe to these vids.  Yes, they're often quite Spiritual in nature, but just tuning out the religious inferences, there is something peaceful and relaxing and gives one a warm glow.  I know a lot of it is is click-bait, but everything on YouTube is about click-bait.

I saw a video stating that if one listened for five minutes one would get a new house.  That vid had 1.8M views.  I doubt that just but a few actually got a new house.  I try to avoid click-bait vids.  I focus primarily on vids that don't offer anything material.  And that is how I feel about avoiding preachers that promise anything material.  Positive energy is nothing but the Spiritual.  No more and no less.  

I don't want anything but a peaceful Spirit.  That is ALL I want.  Anything material is achieved by nothing but hard work and maybe a little luck and that is all.  Unless you're waiting for someone to die to leave you a big inheritance, but even that is rare.  These vids go well with my pipe smoking and meditation.  This is when my mind is calmest.  

Then listening while smoking my pipe, seems to remove any anxieties I might have about the future and any regrets about the past that can cause depression.  It helps me focus on the now.   Listening and smoking my pipe just keeps me focused.  This morning I am smoking my Peterson System pipe with some London Squire English tobacco while listening to Sunday Morning Coffee by Chip Davis.  I thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.

Strange

 I can never predict how any of my posts are going to be received but I do get a reaction from my wife quite often, but I'll post about my Spirituality thinking I've said enough and apart from a few other subjects my Spirituality posts do quite well.  I had yesterday's tobacco review done a few days ago and saved it for yesterday and again, it seems my tobacco reviews do quite well.  Then I wrote about my age and it seemed no one cared that much   My wife says that it's my titles for my subjects So, while I have so many subjects to choose from, today it is about how my tobacco choices influence my Spirituality or do they?  Not really.  It's just that I can't smoke my pipes without tobacco.  I could be smoking a lot of things.  Like the question asked when someone thinks you are crazy, " What have I been smoking?"  Well, at least you know.  It's never any "funny" stuff.  You could be asking what I've been drinking.  I have ...

Old Ads

 My wife liked my post about old things we remember.  And a lot of what I remembered was good.  But there was some bad things back then that are different today.  Back in the 50's and 60's and even into the 70's advertising in both magazines and TV were incredibly sexist.  I don't have the space in one post to list all the ads, but really they can be summed by saying that a lot of advertising was incredibly sexist. I 've mentioned my wife lit my pipe for me just a few times, but these days she can barely tolerate the aroma of my most flavorful Aromatic tobacco.  She liked everything I said in that post except my mentioning Old Professor pipe tobacco.  Ironically, I like Old Professor the most and she hates it the most.  So, when I mentioned it, she did too.  But back in the day a man smoking a pipe was his lifestyle.  Today, it's a hobby, and not just for men.
