What's Expected
Dates have been given for Florida's hurricane predictions. In SW Florida even the mentiion of a hurricane causes anxiety. Not only do we have to worry about hurricanes, but tornadoes as well. It's early evening as I am writing this and all seems relatively calm. We'll be in NY during most of hurricane season, which begins on June 1, although May can be somewhat worrisome. It's spring in most parts of the country, but while hurricanes won't be until later, the weather here can be somewhat unpredictable.
I enjoyed sitting on the lanai in our condo last summer during storms if it wasn't raining too hard. I loved watching the lightning strikes and the cloud formations. We were invited back by the lady who owned the place, but decided on NY instead. We have fond memories of that condo. The storms were often enjoyable to watch. So, we'll just have to wait and see what the hurricane season will be.
Moving on to other things, I might get a free tin of some Peterson St. Patrick's pipe tobacco witth my order of my Peterson pipe. I may or may not get the free tin if they don't have any left, but I checked my invoice and saw I ordered two items, but three items were shipped. If it comes I'll review it, but at the time of my order, they may have sold out. I'll have to see what that third item is. I also ordered a can of Captain Black Cherry tobacco. I wrote about that recently and don't need to say much more about it.
I was going to order some Irish Blessing from Cornell and Deihl. But decided on the Cherry blend instead. I still have some Yorktown left, but most of what I have are my Aromatic blends. I like to have some English tobacco on hand, but I haven't found any Engllsh tobacco with a room note my wife likes. I have tried about 25 various blends in the past year and while hate is a strong word, she at least hasn't liked any of them.
She might not recall the room note of Captain Black Cherry and it's been a couole of years since I had any of it. So, I'm hoping she'll like it. Well I'm writing this a few days in advance as I write a day or two ahead and put my final touches on a post right before posting. I'll add something here and there and make all my corrections.
Today is my son's birthday and I'll give a shout out to him to wish him a Happy Birthday. My wife and I were talking about the day of his birth. He was born in the morning and my wife rested most of the day. That evening I went out for tacos, came back to their room and about all that was on TV that night was The Wizard of Oz. So, I watched that, ate my tacos, and let my son and wife rest.
Dads just need to be there. We don't do much except give love and support. So, it's now many years later and we're both very proud parents. So, Happy Birthday to my son this morning. Meanwhile, I'm waiting for my pipe and tobacco to arrive. This morning it is my Savinelli Arcobaleno Blue pipe with some Captain Black Original. I thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
Dave
