A Special Date

 My Spirit Guides told me that Christmas is April 12.  Okay, they were Angels.  But talking about Angels raises more questions than I can deal with here.  So, I now call them Spirit Guides but they are the same thing.  Does today's solar eclipse at about 3:00 PM today have anything to do with April 12?  I haven't made that connection.  I simply don't know.  But I've been wondering about it.  Does ANYTHING have to do with April 12?  Up until now, not many have known about my knowledge.

Anything I say about April 12 is purely speculative and you might not believe me.  That is a risk I take in most anything I do.  I have kept this pretty much to myself except at least a few of you know.  This is MY Spiritual week, as I said in yesterday's post.  Do I believe the Messiah will come on April 12?  In a nutshell- no.  Do I believe some earthshattering event will happen on April 12?  No.  

I believe that for most anyone April 12 will be just another day.  But for me it never is.  I say that this Friday IS my Spiritual day.  This makes this entire week my Holy week.  Today is the solar eclipse and I have been somewhat weirded out by it, but I'm not expecting some kind of Supernatural event on Friday.  I just become a little bit different during this period of time every year.  

I once did some research into when biblical scholars say Jesus was born.  An April date is given most often.  Most scholars believe Jesus was born in the Spring.  There are cosmological reasons born out by research.  But a Spring date is not unusual.  Of course skeptics will doubt most anything and I hate to give fuel to the doubters.  I'm not that much into prophesying of most any kind.  I have nothing prophetic to say about the solar eclipse today nor do I have anything to say about April 12.

In addition to the solar eclipse today is that a comet should appear today along with the eclipse, but I haven't seen anything about the comet other than my son menntiining it.  But historically people have been sky observers since the beginning.  I can see Angels in cloud formations but I figure most anyone who believes in Angels can see them in places where most wouldn't.  I'm a believer so I see Angels in many places simply because they're my obsession.  

I have no predictions for April 12 other than what I've already stated.  A lot of people will be sky watching today when most pay little or no attention to the sky.  I loved sitting on the lanai of our condo last summer watching the clouds and being an observer of the sky.  But there I could.  I'm outside at my son's place a lot, but my back is usually facing the sky.  I pay little attention to the skies here.  

But the sky today will bring out all kinds of watchers.  Some will attach prophecies to this date today.  I won't.  Just as I won't for April 12.  For most anyone Friday won't be anything special.  It would be just another date, but for me it isn't.  Friday will be my own Christmas and Easter.  So, this is MY Holy week.  Some might say I'm weird enough and I don't need a week of weirdness.  I listen to Christmas music this week every year.  That's weird in itself.  

I have a lot of weirdness this week every year for the past 30 years.  But it's only been recently I had any believers.  So, I make no prophecies.  Only that this is what I know.  It's the only date I claim to know.  I'll let you draw your own conclusions.  I'll smoke my pipe and just make this week as special as I can.  Today it is my Peterson System pipe with my Elizathan Engish blend this morning and promise I won't get any more weird than this.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.

 I seem to struggle week after week as to how much football I am going to watch.  There for awhile I was watching all the analysis of the collegiate games and decided I was simply paying too much attention to football.  I cut way back last week and as the season begins to unfold I have to ask myself how much is too much?  I didn't watch one pro game last weekend and hadn't followed the analysis of collegiate games all week.   Then I found myself having a kind of withdrawal and decided I can watch whatever football I want to watch as long as it doesn't interfere with my Spirituality.  But at what point is too much too much?  My wife and I talked about this last week as I cut back on watching and we both decided that I like football and I shouldn't have to be thinking about how much or how little I watch.  I enjoy the games.  College more than the pro's.   I don't have to watch the analysis, but I like College Game Day and I like...

Strange

 I can never predict how any of my posts are going to be received but I do get a reaction from my wife quite often, but I'll post about my Spirituality thinking I've said enough and apart from a few other subjects my Spirituality posts do quite well.  I had yesterday's tobacco review done a few days ago and saved it for yesterday and again, it seems my tobacco reviews do quite well.  Then I wrote about my age and it seemed no one cared that much   My wife says that it's my titles for my subjects So, while I have so many subjects to choose from, today it is about how my tobacco choices influence my Spirituality or do they?  Not really.  It's just that I can't smoke my pipes without tobacco.  I could be smoking a lot of things.  Like the question asked when someone thinks you are crazy, " What have I been smoking?"  Well, at least you know.  It's never any "funny" stuff.  You could be asking what I've been drinking.  I have ...

Old Ads

 My wife liked my post about old things we remember.  And a lot of what I remembered was good.  But there was some bad things back then that are different today.  Back in the 50's and 60's and even into the 70's advertising in both magazines and TV were incredibly sexist.  I don't have the space in one post to list all the ads, but really they can be summed by saying that a lot of advertising was incredibly sexist. I 've mentioned my wife lit my pipe for me just a few times, but these days she can barely tolerate the aroma of my most flavorful Aromatic tobacco.  She liked everything I said in that post except my mentioning Old Professor pipe tobacco.  Ironically, I like Old Professor the most and she hates it the most.  So, when I mentioned it, she did too.  But back in the day a man smoking a pipe was his lifestyle.  Today, it's a hobby, and not just for men.
