What's at the End?
As a Spiritual person I don't ponder this question, but there are those who at least wonder what is at the end of life? As a person grows older they begin to become at least a bit religious. Why? Just in case. I'm sure I've had Angels watching over me more than twice in my life. But my two most recent brushes with death, didn't frighten me about it. First, in both instances I knew it wasn't my time. But it's the pain I feared the most. Second, and most importantly, I claim to know what's at the end of life.
I kind of have an arrangement with God. He doesn't care what I do or don't do as long as I do no harm to myself or others, and I don't care what He thinks of me. But people, on the other hand, have driven me nuts. Ministry is as much about politics as it is about theology. The politicking is what drove me crazy about it. But it seems I never had to play politics with God. And I still don't. Learning how to live harmlessly is best. Whatever it takes.
But how does all this translate to the end of life? Simple. I don't worry about it. Doing so can make one neurotic. I have people do that and I don't need God doing it to me too. But what do I have to say about the end? Does it matter? It might, depending on what you think I think about it. I did some number crunching once and decided that about 5% of all humanity won't get into heaven. But that is by my figures.
I would say if you dont believe and have been fairly harmless in your life you've got nothing to worry about anyway. Those that won't get in have caused the greatest harm to oneself or to others. If my Spirituality matters to you then what I'm saying matters. If it doesn't it matters not. But for those who'd like to know, if we knew what heaven was like we'd fall all over ourselves trying to get in. Sometimes I've found living scarier than dying.
But I live with no fears except the politics of life. I can still play the political games and I hate when I do this because what others think does me no harm. But politics can affect income. If one leaves the politics to God one really has nothing to worry about. God doesn't play politics. He could care less what a person believes. There are Atheists more harmless than some Christians. But if you wonder why I'm not worried about the end this is why.
I even worry less about anything when smoking my pipe. I leave life to my Spirit Guides and I allow myself to just let them work. When I do this I am most relaxed. I just felt this had to be shared today, but don't ask me why. I'm smoking my Rosedale pioe this morning with some Captain Black Original while drinking a cup os hot Guatamalan black coffee. Thank you for your time and peace to each one of you.
