I Could

 I could smoke tobacco in a novelty pipe from Amazon.  One reviewer on YouTube ordered the cheapest wooden pipe from Amazon and decided to smoke it.  The pipe cost $6.99.  I have a link to the video below.  There are very adult novelty pipes that sell for about $25 if one wanted to smoke out of them.  One doesn't have to spend a lot for a pipe if all one wanted to do was smoke a pipe.  A glass bong works if one wanted to do that.  One could smoke tobacco in a any vape pipe but I would not recommend inhaling pipe tobacco.

There's all kinds of stuff used for weed that can be used for pipe tobacco.  I just don't recommend inhaling pipe tobacco.  But there is no rule suggesting one needs an expensive Briar pipe for pipe tobacco.  This is by far the best more expensive way to enjoy pipe tobacco, but one can go cheap or use an adult novelty pipe if one so desired.  

So, technically, I can use anything designed for weed as a tobacco pipe.  I've thought about trying these cheap pipes just for fun, but I guess one could say I'm at least a serious pipe smoker not having spent a lot for the most expensive pipes.  We used to joke about the guys that started with a Dr. Grabow pipe and often wondered how it was they were still smoking a pipe.  But the first few pipes one might own could be nothing more than a glass bong.  

Eventually, if one wanted to stay with pipe smoking one will venture into the world of the more expensive pipes.  My first pipe was rather expensive for the day.  So, I've never had a cheap pipe, but I have a few that are relatively cheap pipes.  I've found I get more enjoyment from a good pipe.  Besides which, there are pipes available that I wouldn't want to show anyone I had one.  

You might be wondering what the YouTuber's impression was of that $6.99 pipe from Amazon.  He said that while Amazon said the pipe was functional, he didn't believe it was thinking it was more like a kid's toy or a stage prop.  He said the inside was lined with plastic that might be treated for heat.  But he wasn't sure.  So in reality he didn't smoke it.  He said to get a functional wooden pipe he would have had to pay about $5 more.  

One has to be careful about what Amazon says about any product and reviews unless you know what you're getting.  I might question how functional a $25 novelty pipe from Amzaon really is.  Some materials when burned could have some toxicity.  I would suggest unless one is getting a cheap cob pipe, just don't expect a lot from a cheap pipe.  There are people who are collectors of novelty items of any kind.  But I'm a collector of good pipes.  It's where I began and haven't strayed.

One could venture into pipe making by buying a briar block for around $30 and just see what one can do with it.  The stem is attached, but the block of briar is only limited by what one can imagine.  Today it is my Boswell pipe with some Gambler Burley tobacco.  I'll smoke Gambler until my order arrives early next week.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.

Strange

 I can never predict how any of my posts are going to be received but I do get a reaction from my wife quite often, but I'll post about my Spirituality thinking I've said enough and apart from a few other subjects my Spirituality posts do quite well.  I had yesterday's tobacco review done a few days ago and saved it for yesterday and again, it seems my tobacco reviews do quite well.  Then I wrote about my age and it seemed no one cared that much   My wife says that it's my titles for my subjects So, while I have so many subjects to choose from, today it is about how my tobacco choices influence my Spirituality or do they?  Not really.  It's just that I can't smoke my pipes without tobacco.  I could be smoking a lot of things.  Like the question asked when someone thinks you are crazy, " What have I been smoking?"  Well, at least you know.  It's never any "funny" stuff.  You could be asking what I've been drinking.  I have ...

 My wife liked my post about old things we remember.  And a lot of what I remembered was good.  But there was some bad things back then that are different today.  Back in the 50's and 60's and even into the 70's advertising in both magazines and TV were incredibly sexist.  I don't have the space in one post to list all the ads, but really they can be summed by saying that a lot of advertising was incredibly sexist. I 've mentioned my wife lit my pipe for me just a few times, but these days she can barely tolerate the aroma of my most flavorful Aromatic tobacco.  She liked everything I said in that post except my mentioning Old Professor pipe tobacco.  Ironically, I like Old Professor the most and she hates it the most.  So, when I mentioned it, she did too.  But back in the day a man smoking a pipe was his lifestyle.  Today, it's a hobby, and not just for men.
