The Most Interesting City

There was a YouTuber whose videos my wife and I watched regularly because he lived in NYC.  I haven't been to too many world cities.  But we've been to Rome and Paris, however, it is NYC which is full of US history.  At least I can say NYC is the most interesting city in the US, if not the world.  Mostly because so many movies have been filmed there.  But this YouTuber we watched moved to Miami and at least I have lost interest in his vids.  I don't see his videos posted as I once did.  He began filming Miami and I simply lost interest and YouTube seems to know this.

I started thinking about it and wondered why I lost interest.  Miami is interesting, but it's not NYC.  In fact, he could have to moved to LA and lost my interest.  Maybe he felt he did everything NYC has to offer.  But I couldn't visit Central Park too many times.  There are areas of NYC that never tire me of visiting.  That includes Battery Park and Times Square.  I just couldn't get into his excitement about Miami.  I don't care where in Miami he went.

I know my son liked Miami.  He enjoyed living where he lived in Miami.  But I just couldn't get into any excitement about Miami.  It's not as walkable as NYC.  And not nearly as interesting.  It just seems NYC has everything to offer for a world city.  I simply missed his walks in NYC.  So, I lost interest in his videos.  He tried traveling to world cities, but those vids were just travelogs, showing what a tourist would see.

He went to places in NYC tourists didn't go and he was a tour guide in NYC.  He knew NYC.  I liked he knew so much about the city.  It made his videos interesting.  He moved to Miami for the weather, but found he had to travel back to New York to keep his viewers.  But I think he found traveling to be too expensive.   His new vids weren't paying for his trips.  It wasn't him we were watching.  We wanted to see the parts of NYC very few know even exist.  I don't want to watch travelogs.  

I like when vidographers do vids on things out of the ordinary.  It's like there are those who do vids on Disney World.  There's nothing I've seen that I haven't seen before.  But people who spend their lives in NYC can always see something they haven't seen before.  NYC always has something new to offer.  It's about the history of NYC.  There's simply so much of it.  I don't care what it is.  There are places that used to be that are still important places.

I should mention the YouTubers name, but I won't because I don't like his new vids.  And if you want vids on NYC they're everywhere on YouTube.  I love NYC and always will.  I just no longer like his vids.  I miss his walks in NYC.  I miss his knowledge.  But that is not to say he's the only one.  But he was the only one I watched regularly.  He blew it by moving to Miami.  At least with me he did.  So, I'll smoke my pipe, relax, and watch other vids.  Today it is my Nording Number 3 pipe with some Old Professor.  My coffee this morning is a hot black cup of Guatamalan coffee.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.

Strange

 I can never predict how any of my posts are going to be received but I do get a reaction from my wife quite often, but I'll post about my Spirituality thinking I've said enough and apart from a few other subjects my Spirituality posts do quite well.  I had yesterday's tobacco review done a few days ago and saved it for yesterday and again, it seems my tobacco reviews do quite well.  Then I wrote about my age and it seemed no one cared that much   My wife says that it's my titles for my subjects So, while I have so many subjects to choose from, today it is about how my tobacco choices influence my Spirituality or do they?  Not really.  It's just that I can't smoke my pipes without tobacco.  I could be smoking a lot of things.  Like the question asked when someone thinks you are crazy, " What have I been smoking?"  Well, at least you know.  It's never any "funny" stuff.  You could be asking what I've been drinking.  I have ...

Old Ads

 My wife liked my post about old things we remember.  And a lot of what I remembered was good.  But there was some bad things back then that are different today.  Back in the 50's and 60's and even into the 70's advertising in both magazines and TV were incredibly sexist.  I don't have the space in one post to list all the ads, but really they can be summed by saying that a lot of advertising was incredibly sexist. I 've mentioned my wife lit my pipe for me just a few times, but these days she can barely tolerate the aroma of my most flavorful Aromatic tobacco.  She liked everything I said in that post except my mentioning Old Professor pipe tobacco.  Ironically, I like Old Professor the most and she hates it the most.  So, when I mentioned it, she did too.  But back in the day a man smoking a pipe was his lifestyle.  Today, it's a hobby, and not just for men.
