Will There be Golf Courses?

Billy Graham once said he had a conversation with a man who told him he'd want to go to heaven only if heaven had golf courses.  Graham told him that if God wanted us to have golf courses there will plenty of them with no tee times or waiting.  I was thinking about this the other day as I was pondering about what heaven would be like.  If we knew what heaven was like, we'd be falling all over ourselves trying to get in.

I have no fear of death or dying.  Heaven is pretty easy to get into.  One preacher once said some people who get there smuggle themselves in.  They don't deserve to be there, but they'll get in.  Actually, no one deserves to be there.  So, I don't buy into the smuggling idea.  Even Atheists will be there, but maybe they are the ones God will smuggle in.  But after his comment I thought to myself no one deserves heaven, so I threw out his comment as being worthless.

Some say there are levels to heaven to which we seek to attain the highest levels.  Often this thinking involves hard work here on earth.  Everyone has their ideas between thinking this earth is all we have to getting into heaven requires hard work on earth.  But how do I seem to know what I know about heaven?  I could say I have my beliefs and leave it at that.  I could say all it takes is respect for all human life including one's own regardless of beliefs or deeds.  It is said of some people that they are so heavily minded they are of no earthly good.

That opens the door to most anyone to get in.  But is it THAT easy to get in?  This is my belief, but then I'd be boasting to know secrets about God and heaven few know.  But I'd like to say, "Just believe me.  I know."  But that begs the question as to HOW I know.  I'm not sure I want to talk about it, but I could just say, "Trust me.  I know."   And leave it at that.  Life and sharing similar beliefs with others is often necessary.  Because life is relational.

But in my case, my beliefs are my own.  I might be closer to Buddhism in my beliefs thatn I would be as a Christian.  But I am my own belief system.  Why?  Maybe it is Divine knowledge, but it can be called anything.  It just could be my own belief after years of studying Christianity and other beliefs, religions, and cuts.  Maybe I just chose a different path.  Or maybe I just know and my path chose me.

But in some ways Billy Graham is right.  There will be golf courses for golfing and fishing holes for those who like to fish if we want those things.  Maybe hunting will be allowed.  Heaven can be anything we want it be.  Maybe our beloved pets will be there.  Everything we imagine are earthly ideas about heaven.  Jesus speaks of mansions.  Maybe everyone will have a mansion with sprawling manicured lawns and impeccable landscaping next to their own golf course.

I could say just believe me or you may do as you wish, believe what you wish, and live your life as you wish.  Very simply, respect human life including your own, and you will be just fine.  Jesus says His burden was light.  He was right.  At least I believe this and I say I'm right.  God left my pipes up to me, so today it is my my Angel pipe with some Cherry tobacco.  My coffee this morning is hot black Guatamalan coffee.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
