A Dracula Series Pipe

 

I have but one task my Spirit Guides said I would perform.  I do that task by living.  But I'm not sure I can explain this.  I belong to no religion, except that I am very Buddhist in my thinking.  I am to prevent the taking of any human life, although I'm not sure I've done a very good job of that considering how much of it is done on a daily basis.  And that could apply just to myself and my own orbit of people.  Human Life matters most to my Spirituality.  

But does my smoking a pipe have anything to do with it?  In a word, it does.  And in that regard most any Buddhist would not smoke a pipe.  But I find the world to be a very stressful place with this kind of thinking.  A pipe helps me deal with it all.  So, instead of tobacco being harmful to me, I see it as a way to relax in a world that could cause me great stress.  The pipe is my hobby.

As I said yesterday, I might be able to write for publication on the subjects of pipes and tobaccos, but I write about it here.  The above pipe is a Peterson pipe I found on Smoking Pipes, which sells for $108.  I like the shape of this pipe.  The band is nickle and not silver.  But I still like this pipe.  I come across pipes and although I have all the pipes I need or want, I liked this pipe.  

I'm not asking anyone to follow me in my Spiritual path.  But I am willing to share until the Divine Intervention comes.  This is what I'm waiting for and smoking a pipe helps me wait.  I really can't explain how this hobby is a part of my Spirituality, but it is.  I meditate best while smoking a pipe.  It helps keep me focused.  Marijuana has been used by other Spiritual people, but I have chosen my pipes and tobaccos instead.  They have been a part of me for some fifty years now.  

The above pipe is from the Dracula series by Peterson and I hesitated to post it for that very reason.  But I like the red stem and the shape of the bowl.  Dracula is antithetical to my way of thinking, but is from a line that is similar to the Sherlock Holmes series, which Peterson does to give homage to literary charcters.  I downloaded the pipe without realizing it was a Dracula series pipe.  But I liked the shape and style.  After I downloaded it and saw what it represented, I hesitated.  But I still like the pipe.  

So, apart from what it's called it's a nice looking pipe and the price is right.  The stem is longer and the bowl shape is different.  I'm smoking my Peterson Sherlock Holmes pipe this morning with some Sea Mist tobacco one of my sons gave to me for Father's Day.  My coffee this morning is Stumptown Homestead coffee, which was a Father Day's gift from my other son.  My kids would have a difficult time buying me gifts if I didnt drink coffee or smoke a pipe.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
