It Might be Boring

 It might get old for me to write about my tobacco orders, but I have an order that should arrive tomorrow.  I placed an order for Lane 1-Q, which is eight ounces that should last for several weeks.  Lane 1-Q is a top five best seller in Smoking Pipes website.  It is a top seller world wide.  It is one of those Aromatics that is loved by most pipe smokers.  It has a very pleasant room note and smokes so we'll.  It is like Captain Black Original in that regard.

Some say it is Captain Black Original but I can tell most anyone it is different.  They're both from the same company but they are different.  Captain Black Original is the top seller world wide and has been since it's introduction in 1956.  While being similar Lane 1-Q is a tad more flavorful with a different top note.  But according to Aromatic pipe smokers they are two of the best.  

I didn't order any English tobacco this time, but I still have Bayou Morning and Haunted Bookshop left.  My next order might include some more Haunted Bookshop and maybe more Old Professor, which I know my wife likes the least.  But I won't smoke it around her.  I enjoy Old Professor with my first cup of coffee in the morning.  She's not out until later in the mornings and that one I can enjoy by myself.  She seems to like Captain Black Original the best of any Aromatic. 

I might not order Aitumn Evening while living in Florida.  But if we were to come to NY in the fall that is perfect for cool fall days here.  Haunted Bookshop by it's very name might be best around Halloween, but I've enjoyed that year round.  Old Professor does not sell very well as there are other English tobaccos that are better.  Maybe it's due to the room note that is polarizing.  It's either well-liked or disliked greatly.  

But I can't lose on Lane 1-Q or Captain Black Original.  The Original is one tobacco I want to have around all the time.  Old Professor is not my favorite English but is a great way to begin a day.  I'm not sure I have a favorite English, as I seem to order different English blends each time.  I'll experiment more with English Blends having enjoyed every one but for different reasons.  Over all I would say I have yet to smoke an English my wife has enjoyed.  

Aromatics are different, but some she has liked more than others.  I have a chocolate Aromatic she does not like as well.  And I don't smoke a pipe just to please her, but these two I know she likes and I do too.  Aromatics can be hit or miss with her, but no English is a hit.  SoI'll smoke an English because I love a good English.  I'll never order an English just to please her.  There isn't one.  But Old Professor in my Dunhill is a hit for me.  

So, that is the skinny on my next tobacco order.  Just eight ounces of Lane 1-Q and a can of Original.  They should last while we're here in NY.  Today it is my Boswell with Haunted Bookshop and a cup of good hot back coffee.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.

Strange

 I can never predict how any of my posts are going to be received but I do get a reaction from my wife quite often, but I'll post about my Spirituality thinking I've said enough and apart from a few other subjects my Spirituality posts do quite well.  I had yesterday's tobacco review done a few days ago and saved it for yesterday and again, it seems my tobacco reviews do quite well.  Then I wrote about my age and it seemed no one cared that much   My wife says that it's my titles for my subjects So, while I have so many subjects to choose from, today it is about how my tobacco choices influence my Spirituality or do they?  Not really.  It's just that I can't smoke my pipes without tobacco.  I could be smoking a lot of things.  Like the question asked when someone thinks you are crazy, " What have I been smoking?"  Well, at least you know.  It's never any "funny" stuff.  You could be asking what I've been drinking.  I have ...

Old Ads

 My wife liked my post about old things we remember.  And a lot of what I remembered was good.  But there was some bad things back then that are different today.  Back in the 50's and 60's and even into the 70's advertising in both magazines and TV were incredibly sexist.  I don't have the space in one post to list all the ads, but really they can be summed by saying that a lot of advertising was incredibly sexist. I 've mentioned my wife lit my pipe for me just a few times, but these days she can barely tolerate the aroma of my most flavorful Aromatic tobacco.  She liked everything I said in that post except my mentioning Old Professor pipe tobacco.  Ironically, I like Old Professor the most and she hates it the most.  So, when I mentioned it, she did too.  But back in the day a man smoking a pipe was his lifestyle.  Today, it's a hobby, and not just for men.
