Maybe More
My wife liked my review of the movie of "Planet of Prehistoric Women" so much so she can't wait to it, but I think she was just kidding. But maybe I need to review of sci-fi movies more often. Yesterday was a travel day and although I had something I wrote for yesterday, I deleted it thinking I can do better. And since we got in early afternoon and thought about posting, I didn't want to write something just to post something.
I want a post to be good. And there are times when I've deleted something only to write it better. I usually work a day ot two ahead always making sure I have something for the next day. I wrote for yesterday while in NY, but I decided writing for today from Florida would be better. I had a lot of time to think about what I'd say this Sunday morning.
I feel both my wife and I accomplished a lot in two months. Our biggest decision is what to do with the house there. We shared the house with two other couoles who all four thanked us for being there. So, we had discussions that included all involved. No decisions have been made, because both my wife and I like the house being there. I love to visit there, but my wife says at times it's a little too isolated.
It can be. But at the same time it is so peaceful there. It has its advantages and disadvantages. It was great to get back "home" yesterday. We had a lot to unpack, but by late afternoon both of us watched some of the Olympics. We are just going to relax today and try not to do a lot. Our son cleaned house so we wouldn't have to, but my wife always finds things to do, or things she thinks need to be done.
As to our plans for the coming week, we will see what transpires, but I've been wanting to get back to the gym. I think that will be my first priority. I've managed to keep weight off since my heart attack as I was probably about 20 pounds overweight when it happened. Diet is everything and making sure I don't eat too much and avoid a lot of snacks. I was really into drinking sugary drinks and now I have two cups of coffee a day as my only caffeine and avoid sugars and any other caffeine.
My cardiologist said 185 was my ideal weight and that was some fifteen years ago. Now I hover around 190 pretty consistently. But heart health is so important to me because my heart functions at about 50% now. She has some things she wants to do. But this morning is Sunday and I think we'll both take it easy today. These hot mornings are going to take some getting used to. The days here begin about 20 degrees warmer, but I'm listening to Sunday Morning Coffee while smoking my Angel pipe this morning with some Old Professor tobacco. My coffee this morning is Guatamalan coffee. Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
Dave
