Something Different

I have only two estate pipes.  I broke the stem of my Gettysburg pipe and might get it fixed, but my other is my Dunhill pipe.  I was smoking it yesterday and began wondering why it was for sale as an estate pipe.  They had reconditioned it to flawless condition and my mind began to wonder about it as I smoked it.  The pipe would have cost about $1200 if it were new and wondered what kind of person would own that pipe.

I wondered whether I could see the person who owned that pipe with my imagination and began to wonder about the previous owner.  I can see spending $1200 for some things and precious metals and gems appreciate in value.  But the previous owner's estate lost a grand on that pipe.  The estate probably was given a hundred for it.  So, as I made up a story about my "haunted" Gettysburg pipe, I wondered if the previous owner was deceased.

Now that my Gettysburg pipe is idle, could I make up some story about my Dunhill and whether it too is haunted?  I assumed the previous owner is deceased.  Could I make my Dunhill "haunted?"  I can only assume it was owned by a man.  And I wondered if I could tell who this man was.  He was a professional man.  I doubt he was a doctor because the pipe is from the 1990's and most doctors had given up smoking by then.  I began to assume the previous owner was an attorney.

What kind of attorney was he?  I began to narrow it down to maybe a corporate attorney and worked from a home office.  About the time he bought this pipe smoking in offices was no longer permitted.  But he knew others would see his pipe, unlike myself who smokes in private.  He probably smoked only English tobaccos and may have smoked exclusively Dunhill tobaccos.

As a matter of fact, I'm thinking he died suddenly like from a heart attack and not from a prolonged illness.  It was one of his favorite pipes.  I'm thinking his tobacco of choice was Dunhill 965 Mixture, which is now owned and blended by Peterson.  He owned other pipes costing an average of around a grand each.  This was one of favorites.  I'm feeling he was from the Boston area and went to law school in the Boston area.  Maybe he was Ivy League educated.

Does he haunt that pipe like I said my Gettysburg pipe was haunted?  It would be a fascinating premise to say it is.  Maybe it's why I have smoked Haunted Bookshop tobacco in that pipe.  Is there something he'd wish to say to me through that pipe?  I was sitting there smoking it and felt that he only wished he had treated people in his life better than he did.  Well, that's my story of my Dunhill estate pipe.  I really have no idea.  But I was clueless about my Gettysburg pipe too.  This morning it is my Peterson Irish Harp pipe with some Haunted Bookshop.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
