Strange
I can never predict how any of my posts are going to be received but I do get a reaction from my wife quite often, but I'll post about my Spirituality thinking I've said enough and apart from a few other subjects my Spirituality posts do quite well. I had yesterday's tobacco review done a few days ago and saved it for yesterday and again, it seems my tobacco reviews do quite well. Then I wrote about my age and it seemed no one cared that much My wife says that it's my titles for my subjects
So, while I have so many subjects to choose from, today it is about how my tobacco choices influence my Spirituality or do they? Not really. It's just that I can't smoke my pipes without tobacco. I could be smoking a lot of things. Like the question asked when someone thinks you are crazy, " What have I been smoking?" Well, at least you know. It's never any "funny" stuff. You could be asking what I've been drinking. I have a 15 year old bottle of rum that is now a 16 year old bottle.
But I'm especially leary of Rum. I had a Rumrunner from Mama Marley's Place in Jamaica one afternoon. We were on a cruise and still that night the rough seas nearly made me almost toss my cookies and I was feeling it the next morning. I' ve decided since to go easy on Rum. And I never overindulge in wine. In fact I am careful with all alcohol. But I have to admit the Rumrunner was delicious.
But in case anyone wondered what I put into any pipe, I want them to know it's pure tobacco. I've had tobacco with too much nicotine which hit me after enjoying it too much being unaware of what it was doing to me. But these days I might be overly cautious about nicotine. It can sneak up on me until it's too late. But I read that chocolate can counter the effects of Nicotine, so we almost always have some around.
My Spirit Guides can't protect me from most everything. They expect me to use common sense, which at times I have a short supply. But common sense tells me not to smoke too much. Some common sense might come from my wife if she sees I might be smoking too much. But for me, tobacco adds to my Spirituality. I promise you that alcohol does not.
If I feel too stressed a glass of Cabernet might help, but I prefer alcohol when I don't need it. I prefer my Guides work without it. I prefer alcohol when I'm relaxed and avoid it when I'm not. But a pipe always works harmlessly. I've always admired the pipe smoker who had a single favorite tobacco and stayed with it. They'll sample others, but always had that one go-to tobacco.
I might make my Special Blend my go-to tobacco and have enough of others around as a change of pace. I'm thinking of using Lane 1-Q as my change of pace tobacco. I might order two four ounce packages--one to keep on hand and the other for blending four ounces of Haunted Bookshop with two ounces of Black Cavendish. My Special Blend will be my go-to tobacco. Then I'll have some Lane 1-Q to smoke by itself. Then I can order samples of blends I've never tried.
But it's the tobacco that adds to my Spirituality. I don't want anything else. Alcohol can detract from it as can any "funny" stuff in my pipes. I try to keep it as pure as I can. I'm watching the Italian Grand Prix this morning to see how Aston Martin does. They're both usually somewhere in the middle of the pack. Today it is my Angel pipe with my Special Blend and my coffee is Stumptown Holler Mountain Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
