Super Hero?

 Which would I rather be - either Batman or Superman or maybe another super hero?  Only a few know who Bruce Wayne is but no one knows who Clark Kent is.  Maybe Lois Lane got it figured out.  But I like Superman the best of all of them.  Bruce Wayne was wealthy.  Clark Kent was just a reporter.  I like Clark Kent the best.  I like that no one knew he was Superman.  I like his mild-mannered style.

I could go through all Super Heroes and choose one, but Supeman does it all.  He is vulnerable to Kryptonite, but he always manages.  Bruce Wayne's lifestyle is too far removed from me.  I can identify with a reporter's life.  He just has one girlfriend and sometimes you aren't sure she is that.  In real-life Adam West had too many women.  Christopher Reeves might be my kind of Superman.  Except for his falling off a horse.  

But really, I'm blending reality with fantasy.  I'm not sure I can think of any Batman without thinking of Adam West.  Michael Keaton was pretty good.  But really, I like the fact that Superman just had his cape and Baman had too many gadgets.  Batman needed transportation and Superman just flew.  Superman is the best.  I can believe my thoughts can fight evil, but again I don't live there.  I don't really believe my thoughts fight crime, but sometimes I'll wish.

Superman just needs his suit.  As Clark Kent, he is still Superman.  I just like the fact no one knows who he is.  He doesn't need a butler to answer for him.  He just knows when he is needed.  I like all that about Superman.  He is really quite humble.  I haven't watched the Super Heroes very much, but each one is special.  I just think Superman can do it all.  

Are my thoughts enough?  For right now they are.  And maybe for all time.  But it's all okay.  I don't need a cape or any Super powers.  I can believe anything I wish.  And sometimes I do.  But I leave it up to my Guides to work.  I can believe anything I wish to believe, but I work very hard to stay grounded in reality.  

My pipes possess no super powers.  Some might suggest they do mote harm than good.  I would suggest it all depends.  My pipe this morning is my Angel pipe with some Old Professor and my coffee is Tropical Bahia Brazilia.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.

 I won’t collect them all and maybe I’ll just have the one Sherlock Holmes pipes.  But it just might be my favorite series of pipes and if I collected them all it would take years for me to do so.  The other series is the Dracula series also by Peterson but I have no interest in the Dracula pipes.  I have my one Sherlock Holmes pipe, but what sets them apart is that they each have a silver band with the Sherlock head stamped on each one.   This makes each pipe different and although they might be similar to other Peterson pipes, each Sherlock Holmes pipe is very distinct and different.  If I were to get another pipe in the series it might be the Professor’s pipe so named for Professor Moriarty.  Each style was smoked by a character either in the book, on stage, or in the movies about Sherlock Holmes and his various enemies.   Each pipe is different and unique and comes in price ranges from about $125-$300.  I’m not interested in the more expe...

 Tomorrow ends the 14th year since my hear attack.  I had the widow-maker and only by the grace of God and a good heart surgeon I survived.  I had never experienced such pain in my life!  I knew I wasn’t going to die but my heart was damaged so much it functions at about 50%.   It was a Saturday and we were going to visit my mom.  The timing couldn’t have been better!  We could have been out on the road.  It was about nine O’clock in the morning and I had to pump up a tire on the car.  The funny thing is I had a BP check in October and it was 120/80 with no signs of anything being wrong.   I was about 30 pounds over weight and I simply was not taking very good care of myself.  I was under some duress during that time, but still no sign of it happening.  My wife questioned as to whether it was a heart attack but I told her to call 911.  I had no doubt what was happening.   The squad came and they confirmed it was a hea...

A Different Kind of Birthday

I might be the only one my age who says I’m fourteen today but I suppose if you were to ask my family I’m in my second childhood so-to-speak.  But yesterday I made a big deal out of my heart attack but today not so much.    It’s not that I fear death—no, I fear pain.  Death doesn’t frighten me in the least.  I have talked with many who have had that kind of heart attack and the women have said it’s worse than child birth.  There really isn’t a pain like it they have said.  If I could go without the pain I’d be in heaven right now.   But if I had to go through that pain to get there I’d rather live.  But a lot has happened in these last fourteen years.  And I’ve been alive to live my life relatively pain free.  My appendicitis wasn’t all that painful but the stomach tube was annoying enough.  But we sold our home and invested in another place in NY and now live with our son here in Florida.   I’m limited in what u do and I ...
