AI Knows All About Us
I decided I’ve been sitting smoking my pipe too much, and since coming back from NY I’ve decided to join a gym with my wife. I’ve been going a few times a week and decided it was good for my heart, I walk an average of a mile most days I go. My iPhone 16 tells me how much daily exercise I am getting and often reminds me when I need more exercise.
My wife and I have been going on afternoon walks when I don’t go to the gym, but sometimes I feel my iPhone nags too much about exercise. There are days I don’t feel like doing much of anything, but I feel better about some exercise than none at all. We’re hoping we’ll have our own car by Christmas and that will help us a lot. I still don’t miss having sold our car. We need something smaller.
But when I had my heart attack I just wasn’t taking very good care of myself. I shed those extra pounds and have managed to keep my weight down. I shed those extra pounds and watch my weight closely. I have given up cigars, but not my pipes. It takes about 20 bowls of pipe tobacco to equal one cigar. I’ve had a lot to learn in the past 15 years.
But almost dying taught me a very important lesson on self care. My iPhone with a built-in AI probably knows me better than I do. YouTube even knows that during the day I like news, but at night I like to relax. It knows I like to wake up and relax before the day begin. It has me figured out too. It knows I like to follow cogllefe football. It has an algorithm to match my preferences at certain times.
Ai has me figured out. I can’t get away from it if all my viewing and watching is by internet. I can’t get away from AI watching my every move. Technology is watching us. And why is this? Just one simple word: Advertising. AI knows I smoke a pipe. AI knows who my friends are. And our phones know our conversations and where we are at any given time. AI watches our every move and listens to our every conversation all in the name of advertising.
Well, these are my thoughts this morning as I smoke my Dunhill pipe with Dark Cherry Cavendish tobacco and my coffee is Stone Street coffee. Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
Dave
