Time to Move On

Of course, I’m still thinking about Christmas, but I am thinking about the New Year as well.  In fact, the whole period after Thanksgiving is the holiday period.  But as the old year comes to a close, it’s now just not Christmas but a New Year.  The week after Christmas we begin thinking of another year.  What will 2025 bring?

I have written about a New Beginning and need not say any more about it.  And the old year is not yet over.  In some ways I am thinking that maybe I’ll spend more time at the beach and I’ll be thinking about many things.    My Spirit Guides still speak to me and I listen better than I talk or write.  Sometimes I talk too much, but most of the time I’m quiet.

During the Christmas season I listen to the music.  I love Christmas music especially.  I wrote about this not long ago and there is no need to go over it again.  But I love the carols more than I do the songs of Christmas.   And I wrote about the carols not long ago and don’t need to mention them again.  I enjoy YouTube vids of Christmas scenes even without music.  I can watch vids of fireplaces with or without music.

Christmas is about atmosphere.  In some ways it’s romantic.  In other ways it’s relaxing.  In every way Christmas is a special time of year.  And we enjoy the season with loved ones.  We gather with friends.  My wife writes a Christmas letter every year.  She starts thinking about it before Thanksgiving and has it written about a week after Thanksgiving.

Just enjoy the season for what it is.  Christmas traditions come and go.  But the one tradition that hasn’t changed in a half millennium is that Christmas is the same date every year.  It really is a special time.  I’m relaxing with my “haunted”Gettysburg pipe this morning with Cinnamon Cavendish and my coffee is Stumptown Holler Mountain.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each of you.

Dave
