Dunhill Tobacco Pipes

It is a goal of most every pipe smoker to own at least one Dunhill tobacco pipe.  Dunhill is a British pipe manufacturer since Alfred Dunhill first opened his pipe shop in London in 1907.  I read that Dunhill is no longer making pipes but they changed in 2017.  But they are now called Dunhill White Spot pipes.  They were big in tobaccos, but have since given most of their names and tobaccos over to Peterson which now makes their tobacco blends.

But Dunhill has been the luxury standard in England since their founding in 1907.  Dunhill was big in having their own cigarettes.  But now the Dunhill company isn’t quite what it used to be, but they have always put a white dot on the stem of each of their pipes to signify that the white dot meant Dunhill.

Dunhill became synonymous with what used to be the most luxury of all tobacco pipes.  They used only the best, the hardest, and the most aged of briar in the manufacturing of each pipe.  And each pipe is made by hand to the Dunhill perfect specifications.  This is why Dunhill pipes are among the most expensive the world over.

I have written a lot about my own Dunhill given to me from my family as a Christmas gift a year ago this past Christmas.  Brand new this pipe cost about $1200US.  But it was a used estate price and my family got it for about a fourth of the original price.  This pipe is by far my very best pipe.  This is a pipe I could proudly show off anywhere I would choose to smoke it.

If I take good care of this pipe it will only increase in value as it ages.  My guess about this pipe is that it was made in the early 2000’s and is not quite a vintage pipe.  The style of the bowl is called Rhodesian.  The pipe is slightly bent and might be more of an Author pipe.   It is the best and most expensive pipe I own.  I hope you appreciate it as much as I do.  My pipe this morning is my Peterson System pipe with some Autumn Evening pipe tobacco.  My coffee this morning is Stumptown Holler Mountain coffee.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.

Dave
