Peterson Barrel Churchwarden Pipe
Peterson has two styles of mouthpieces with this one having what is called a fish tail mouthpiece. Their other one is called a P-lip because the smoke comes out on top and not from the front. It is perfect for reading as the pipe can be smoked slightly from the side and is not heavy in the mouth and can be held loosely by the mouth and does not require a hand for holding like a traditional pipe might require.
It is a lightweight pipe that can be smoked easily without a lot of effort for holding. This style was introduced by Peterson in 1947and in spite of its smaller size is a very popular pipe from the company. The barrel shape is the most popular shape as it will sit upright when placed on a flat surface like a table.
Not much else to say about this pipe except for the stamping in the buckle band indicating that it is an official Peterson pipe. I’m smoking my Peterson Sherlock Holmes pipe this morning with Ild Professor pipe tobacco and my coffee this morning is Stumptown Homestead coffee. Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.
Dave
