There are Many

 I almost didn’t write this morning, but I’ve been thinking about it more and more.  It being the Apocalypse or the end of the Old and the beginning of the New.  I’d rather write about it here than sound like an idiot full of sound and fury.  I’ve been expecting it for 25 years and just maybe I am right this time.  

I’ve been a student of prophecy for over fifty years and I can remember much of the predictions without referring to them.  But this time I think I’ve got it right.  First of all, I’m not worried about myself or family.  In fact, I’m not very worried in general about it.  The prophecies are now being fulfilled.  

If I were worried I’d be a neurotic mess as some are these days.  Many see the signs.  And the signs are in the universe too!  The final battle between good and evil is beginning to come into shape.  The Universe is giving us fair warnings.  But we are not to worry.  Jesus said these things will be.  

In a way, I’m more relaxed now than I have been for almost 32 years.  There is no panic or fear, but quite the contrary.  If I were worried, I’d have a lot to worry about.  And if God wants me to do more He will direct my path.  Being calm and patient is my trademark now.  I just need quiet meditation and just think about these things.  I speak when I can and am otherwise quiet.  

I won’t say how soon it will all be over.  It might be a day or years.  I simply don’t know.  But that time is here right now.  How long God will let it go on no one knows but God.  Today I smoke my Peterson Sherlock Holmes pipe with some Bayou Night and drink my Joe’s coffee from Taders Joe.  Thank you for your time and Peace be with you.

The Sherlock Holmes Series

 I won’t collect them all and maybe I’ll just have the one Sherlock Holmes pipes.  But it just might be my favorite series of pipes and if I collected them all it would take years for me to do so.  The other series is the Dracula series also by Peterson but I have no interest in the Dracula pipes.  I have my one Sherlock Holmes pipe, but what sets them apart is that they each have a silver band with the Sherlock head stamped on each one.   This makes each pipe different and although they might be similar to other Peterson pipes, each Sherlock Holmes pipe is very distinct and different.  If I were to get another pipe in the series it might be the Professor’s pipe so named for Professor Moriarty.  Each style was smoked by a character either in the book, on stage, or in the movies about Sherlock Holmes and his various enemies.   Each pipe is different and unique and comes in price ranges from about $125-$300.  I’m not interested in the more expe...

Almost

 Tomorrow ends the 14th year since my hear attack.  I had the widow-maker and only by the grace of God and a good heart surgeon I survived.  I had never experienced such pain in my life!  I knew I wasn’t going to die but my heart was damaged so much it functions at about 50%.   It was a Saturday and we were going to visit my mom.  The timing couldn’t have been better!  We could have been out on the road.  It was about nine O’clock in the morning and I had to pump up a tire on the car.  The funny thing is I had a BP check in October and it was 120/80 with no signs of anything being wrong.   I was about 30 pounds over weight and I simply was not taking very good care of myself.  I was under some duress during that time, but still no sign of it happening.  My wife questioned as to whether it was a heart attack but I told her to call 911.  I had no doubt what was happening.   The squad came and they confirmed it was a hea...

A Different Kind of Birthday

I might be the only one my age who says I’m fourteen today but I suppose if you were to ask my family I’m in my second childhood so-to-speak.  But yesterday I made a big deal out of my heart attack but today not so much.    It’s not that I fear death—no, I fear pain.  Death doesn’t frighten me in the least.  I have talked with many who have had that kind of heart attack and the women have said it’s worse than child birth.  There really isn’t a pain like it they have said.  If I could go without the pain I’d be in heaven right now.   But if I had to go through that pain to get there I’d rather live.  But a lot has happened in these last fourteen years.  And I’ve been alive to live my life relatively pain free.  My appendicitis wasn’t all that painful but the stomach tube was annoying enough.  But we sold our home and invested in another place in NY and now live with our son here in Florida.   I’m limited in what u do and I ...
