Old AND Wise

 I’m getting up in years and know when to talk about Angels and when not to talk about Angels.  Some might think I’m just a crazy old man.  But as someone said yesterday I don’t look my age and most of the time I don’t feel old.  But actually living with my Angels for 31 years has given me a lot of wisdom.  I still haven’t grown up yet and hope I never will.  

At least I know when I am being a crazy old man.  But crazy is an excuse for actually being wise.  My Angels are a crazy idea depending on to whom I might be talking.  But God doesn’t choose to send Angels to crazy people although God knows they need them the most!  No, what my Angels told me is the crazy part.

Salvation is as simple as falling off a log.  But that is the part most everyone struggles with the most.  Salvation can’t be THAT easy.  Actually my Angels told me a lot of things that might sound crazy to most anyone.  I keep what they told me close to the vest these days.  Only a very few know the details and I’ll keep it that way.  So, I say I share a lot of secrets with Angels known only to a few.  

The secrets could be the crazy part, but I’m very wise about how much I share with others.  My Angels gave me secrets that if widely known I would be deemed crazy by most.  My wife knows the most.  And I prefer to keep it that way.  Only a few know a lot.  I’ve shared some here.  And I think I’ve shared as much in this blog as I’m going to share openly.  Salvation is the key thing, however.  Nothing matters to God except every Human Life.  

That’s all there is to it.  But this is why Peace matters.  A world without Peace and Love is a world of death and destruction.  The goal of evil is to take Human Life.  That is all there is to it.  Judgement of the self leads to self-destruction.  So, we do not judge others and we do not judge ourselves.  That IS the Golden Rule as I was taught in Sunday School.  

So, I’m always working on the Golden Rule as I smoke my pipe and refuse to judge myself for anything I do.  Then I work in not judging others as I smoke my pipe.  My pipe this morning is my Dunhill pipe.  My coffee this morning is from Guatemala.  Thank you for your time and Peace to each one of you.

 I won’t collect them all and maybe I’ll just have the one Sherlock Holmes pipes.  But it just might be my favorite series of pipes and if I collected them all it would take years for me to do so.  The other series is the Dracula series also by Peterson but I have no interest in the Dracula pipes.  I have my one Sherlock Holmes pipe, but what sets them apart is that they each have a silver band with the Sherlock head stamped on each one.   This makes each pipe different and although they might be similar to other Peterson pipes, each Sherlock Holmes pipe is very distinct and different.  If I were to get another pipe in the series it might be the Professor’s pipe so named for Professor Moriarty.  Each style was smoked by a character either in the book, on stage, or in the movies about Sherlock Holmes and his various enemies.   Each pipe is different and unique and comes in price ranges from about $125-$300.  I’m not interested in the more expe...

 Tomorrow ends the 14th year since my hear attack.  I had the widow-maker and only by the grace of God and a good heart surgeon I survived.  I had never experienced such pain in my life!  I knew I wasn’t going to die but my heart was damaged so much it functions at about 50%.   It was a Saturday and we were going to visit my mom.  The timing couldn’t have been better!  We could have been out on the road.  It was about nine O’clock in the morning and I had to pump up a tire on the car.  The funny thing is I had a BP check in October and it was 120/80 with no signs of anything being wrong.   I was about 30 pounds over weight and I simply was not taking very good care of myself.  I was under some duress during that time, but still no sign of it happening.  My wife questioned as to whether it was a heart attack but I told her to call 911.  I had no doubt what was happening.   The squad came and they confirmed it was a hea...

A Different Kind of Birthday

I might be the only one my age who says I’m fourteen today but I suppose if you were to ask my family I’m in my second childhood so-to-speak.  But yesterday I made a big deal out of my heart attack but today not so much.    It’s not that I fear death—no, I fear pain.  Death doesn’t frighten me in the least.  I have talked with many who have had that kind of heart attack and the women have said it’s worse than child birth.  There really isn’t a pain like it they have said.  If I could go without the pain I’d be in heaven right now.   But if I had to go through that pain to get there I’d rather live.  But a lot has happened in these last fourteen years.  And I’ve been alive to live my life relatively pain free.  My appendicitis wasn’t all that painful but the stomach tube was annoying enough.  But we sold our home and invested in another place in NY and now live with our son here in Florida.   I’m limited in what u do and I ...
