About Heroes

 Heroes come in all shapes and sizes.  Society praises heroes for having taken human life.  I am a different kind of hero being relatively unknown.  But my kind of hero is celebrated in heaven and not on earth.  I can’t prove anything related to my Angels but I AM the proof.  I could have a lot to boast about but my boasting would be about nothing on this earth.

But if I have lied or my Angels were not in fact Angels, there is no way I would be relaxed in today’s world.  But I AM different having been made different by heaven and not by earthly standards.  IF I didn’t believe in God and Angels I would be a completely different person.  The world still stresses me, but not as much if I felt alone and believed what I believe.

I don’t have to be a hero on this earth.  I am a totally different kind of hero.  I am virtually unseen here in this world.  But in a way, this world is not where I live.  Sure it’s nice to have things, but my wife and I have been downsizing since we sold our home in Ohio.  We have things in NY and we have things here.  But death and dying doesn’t concern me.  I am my own legacy.  

But how can I say this?  There are things I understand about heaven.  But all that is in my head.  Nothing can change this.  St. Augustine once said he has a foot in heaven.  Actually, my mind is in heaven and not on the things of this earth.  If not for Angels I wouldn’t say this.  In fact, there is a lot I would not say if not for Angels.  

But no longer do I seek to prove Angels exist.  I AM the proof.  I tell myself this every day.  It’s why I am often very relaxed and calm.  The things of this world can get to me if I allow them to.  But it’s why I relax and meditate smoking a pipe.  It helps me focus on heaven and takes my mind off the world.  I tell myself these things must be.  God is preparing the world for the arrival of His Son.  Today I am smoking my Dunhill Cumberland pipe with some Cornell and Diehl Old College pipe tobacco.  Thank you for your time and Peace and Love to each one of you.

Bach and a Pipe

 Bach was known to drink wine and smoke a pipe.  I did a little research in the area and found he was known to use tobacco in a pipe.  Tobacco came from the New World and before the New world was settled tobacco was traded back and forth.  He had access to tobacco as it took some wealth back then to afford the tobacco.  It was used mostly in the upper classes of Europe and it is said that his cousin supplied him the tobacco. As to whether men of great wealth generally used tobacco is a debate that countries today.  Shakespeare is not known to have smoked tobacco, but it seems he used pot and cocaine, which were found in clay pipes excavated from his property.  But many think it would be scandalous to suggest Shakespeare used tobacco.   When we get to the settling of the New World, pipe smoking was common among men.  The odds are great that great historical figures were pipe smokers, but most of this is conjecture but we simply don’t know. ...

 Tomorrow ends the 14th year since my hear attack.  I had the widow-maker and only by the grace of God and a good heart surgeon I survived.  I had never experienced such pain in my life!  I knew I wasn’t going to die but my heart was damaged so much it functions at about 50%.   It was a Saturday and we were going to visit my mom.  The timing couldn’t have been better!  We could have been out on the road.  It was about nine O’clock in the morning and I had to pump up a tire on the car.  The funny thing is I had a BP check in October and it was 120/80 with no signs of anything being wrong.   I was about 30 pounds over weight and I simply was not taking very good care of myself.  I was under some duress during that time, but still no sign of it happening.  My wife questioned as to whether it was a heart attack but I told her to call 911.  I had no doubt what was happening.   The squad came and they confirmed it was a hea...
