My Next Order

I don’t smoke very much Aromatic pipe tobacco, but I went to a search engine asking for the best Aromatic pipe tobaccos for spring.  First on the list was Peaches and Cream by Peter Stokkebye.  I decided to put eight ounces of it for my next order.

It gets a 3.3 star review out of five on Smoking Pipes with about 26 reviews.  Aromatics generally don’t get high reviews.  I order about 16 ounces a month sometimes with a two ounce tin of something else.  I’m not sure I’ll like Peaches and Cream, but thought it might give off a pleasant room note my wife would like.

I have about a half dozen pipe tobacco reviews on the Smoking Pipes website, but doubt seriously I’ll review it.  I can get excited about a new tobacco I’ve ordered, but I’m not thrilled about ordering Aromatics any longer.  I got tired of Autumn Evening because I can take only so much of maple pancakes.

Peter Stokkebye makes good tobacco blends and it seems more pipe smokers are smoking mostly Aromatics these days and it might be that those who smoke vapes want aromatics.  The vapers are taking over the purists who smoke traditional pipes but want Aromatic tobacco flavors.

Most of us old guys who have been smoking pipes for decades want traditional English blends in our pipes.  But I understand as I started the hobby with a relatively cheap pipe and aromatics.  One of my favorite aromatics used to be flavored with apple.  It took an experienced pipe smoker to introduce me to English pipe tobaccos.

But once in a while I want an aromatic.  So, we will see how Peaches and Cream is an aromatic.  But today I am smoking Old College by Cornell and Diehl.  Thank you for your time and Peace and Love to each one of you.

Dave
