Angels and Smoking a Pipe

 My Angels are in many ways controversial enough.  Back in 1993 I was more into smoking pipes than I am now.  These days I just grab a pipe without giving it too much thought and settle down with my favorite pipe tobacco.  I asked my Angels whether I had to give up my pipes.  They said it was up to me.  

I’m primarily an English tobacco smoker.  I’ve tried many aromatics and now have just a couple I’ll smoke.  I smoke aromatics primarily for my wife to enjoy as she joins me while I smoke my pipe.  I enjoy seeing what others are enjoying as I now have my favorites.   But back in 1993 I was still learning a lot about smoking a pipe.  My pipes are tools for meditation as I feel I have all the pipes I need.  

Pipes are more than a hobby for me.  They are my lifestyle.  I’ve tried all the old codger blends, as they are so-called because they’ve been around so long.  I’ve learned I’m not a big fan of Burley and Perique doesn’t like me very well.  I’ve had one blend of Deer Tongue  and found I don’t like it.  My favorite English blend I just Virginia, Latakia, and Orientals.  It’s my chosen English blend.  

I just got tired of thinking of what’s in my pipe and I got tired of sampling.  I just want to sit back with my pipe and relax while I meditate.  This is where the Angels come into play.  I focus on the things the Angels told me.  I do this so I don’t forget.  I realize pipes are as controversial as my Angels.  But I try to avoid the controversies of both.  It’s why my paragraph about myself on social media is as it is.  I smoke a pipe and had an experience with Angels.  

This is who I am.  I probably know a lot more about pipes and pipe tobaccos than I do about Angels.  I just had the one experience with Angels, but have had many pipe and pipe tobaccos experiences.  I just can’t separate one from the other.  This morning it is my Dunhill pipe with some Peter Stokkebye’s Proper English.  This is MY pipe tobaccos now.  My coffee is Blue Bottle coffee.  Thank you for your time and Peace and Love to each one of you.

Kind Of

 I’m kind of anti-social, but in my thinking it’s for good reason.  I’m pretty shy about my Angels.  They define who I am.  I seek to protect them as much as I can.  I’m willing to share my space, but only with a few.  Other than this I’m quiet about my Angels and it’s why I prefer solitude over many.  They say opposites attract and in my case this is very true.   I’m attracted to outgoing people.  In this regard my wife and I are opposites.  I can force myself to be an extrovert, but this is not my nature.  I prefer a quiet life of mostly solitude.  In this day of the Internet people are either outgoing or they will be alone.  I am happiest with a mind that doesn’t think too much.  But stress can give me overload.   I need diversions from life to keep my mind from overthinking.  This has been a problem for me for most of my life—even from a very young age.  Too many people and too much input causes my ...

Most Important

 I’m not sure that Peace is more important than love but in a way they go hand-in-hand.  I wasn’t going to write today, but I got to thinking about my Peaceful feeling today.  I feel Peaceful as I sit and smoke my pipe, but life isn’t always peaceful.  But feeling Peaceful is the first step to loving ourselves.  And if it’s there it goes outward from us. I began a post this morning and felt it wasn’t very good and thought I’m might not post today.  I’ve had my morning coffee and am on my third bowl of pipe tobacco for the day, but I have this most peaceful feeling about life and thought I’d share this with you.  Life comes at us and we don’t always feel either peaceful or loving.  But when we take time to meditate on Peace we are filled with it.
