Sometimes

I slept in until ten-thirty this morning.  Not much is in my mind today.  I take days off from thinking.  This is Memorial Day weekend and a lot of you are making the official start of summer something special.  My wife and I plan to stay at home and just take it easy.  We need to start getting things together for our summer in upstate NY.

Sometimes I just don’t feel like thinking.  I just placed an order for 34 ounces of bulk tobacco, comprising of seven different blends with two ounces being an aromatic.  I got burned out from smoking too much Autumn Evening, but decided to order two ounces of it so I could get free shipping from Smoking Pipes.  I like Perique, but Perique doesn’t like me.  I try to avoid Perique.

I wish I could smoke more Perique, but I’ve learned my lessons with it.  I ordered six different English blends none of which contain Perique.  If I don’t know what is in a blend regardless of reviews I simply don’t smoke it.  I’ve had to learn through years of pipe smoking what I can and cannot smoke.  I wish I didn’t have to avoid Perique because so many good blends have it.  But at my old age I have to be very careful.

My taste buds might be a little dull, but my body is sensitive to the Nicotine of Perique.  There is one blend I really like, but I had to learn.  I can’t smoke Haunted Bookshop, for example.  I know how popular it is and that many like it, but that is just one example I have to avoid.  I wish I could just smoke what someone wants me to try, but without knowing what is in it, I just can’t.

My body is sensitive to the Nicotine in Perique.  I’ve had to learn through the many years of pipe smoking what I can and cannot smoke.  I need to see a list of tobaccos in a blend before I smoke it.  And if the list isn’t available, I’ll just avoid it.  I value my wellness over any tobacco blend.

I’m not a big fan of Burley, but if it’s blended with Virginias, it adds a certain nuance I can enjoy.  So, my tobacco blends I enjoy the most are Virginias with Latakia’s and Orientals.  Black Cavendish blended in makes for a soother taste.  I said that not much was in my mind this morning.  This one might be more for my pipe smoking friends, but I find discussions about various tobacco blends fascinating.  I enjoy seeing what others are enjoying.  I too, have my favorites.

Proper English by Peter Stokkebye is my most favorite, but I enjoy mixing it up a bit.  I’m smoking my Willard pipe this morning that I purchased new around 1990.  My coffee this morning is Bella Maria coffee.  Thank you for your time and Peace and Love to each one of you.

Dave
