Each Person
The path of Peace and Love is a path for each person. How one gets there is up to each one’s choice. No one’s path is the same as another. I have thought about this for the past few days. Our path begins when one makes the choice to take the path. The destination is the same for all but the paths to get there are all different. We can share only a part of our path with others.
I thought long and hard about this one, because while we seek uniformity, there is very little that is similar except we are all human. But that is the only commonality we share. Some fear loneliness on their path. Some fear poverty. Some fear even the end of life itself. The destination of Love and Peace is the end result, but only so long as we seek it. Some have lost their way and won’t make into heaven because they have intentionally taken Human Life.
Some have sought to end their lives and have succeeded. To those who have lost their way Jesus would tell them to go where oil is sold. But while they were gone He shut the door on them. They cannot enter into heaven no matter what they do in this life. And some have no life left to live.
We always choose to live and let live. This is a conscious choice we make every moment of every day. We cannot choose otherwise and expect to get into heaven. This is why both Love and Peace are so important. You really can’t have one without the other. Especially when it comes to loving ourselves. We can only treat others as we want to be treated by first loving ourselves. We must live and embrace life and it begins with the self. Not in some narcissistic way, but that we believe in ourselves that we can make a difference.
I might look as though all I do is sit and smoke a pipe, but I try to stay active believing I must live in order to make a difference in the lives of others. My pipe relaxes me and is a tool for meditation. My pipe this morning is what I call my “haunted” Gettysburg pipe. It has four fingers carved into it instead of five. My tobacco is Proper English by Cornell and Diehl. My coffee is Mt. Comfort. Thank you for your time and Love and Peace to each one of you.
